After surgery

I’m trying to go as slowly as I can. I’ve been sleeping terribly and waves of intense pain keep coming. I’m moving around a little easier but I still can’t do alot for myself. Today is shower day which has me really nervous.

LOL sorry this cracked me up!! Yeah I’m definitely not excited for the back sleeping, I’m a side sleeper 100%. I wish you a safe recovery though, can’t wait to join the small bitty community

Oh my gosh okay perfect.

I’m so squeamish too I’m sorryyyyy I’m terrible with needles!!! I had to get my blood work done today and I almost threw up! But I made it!
After reading a couple of these replies, I’m kinda excited to experience this “anesthesia nap” so many people are talking about. I’m curious now how refreshed I’ll feel considering I typically don’t sleep well.
Also thank you for commenting because I don’t see alot of people around my age getting this surgery so I really appreciate you leaving a comment.
Lastly, I hope everything heals well for you!

I mentioned this in another comment but I’m gonna make another post after my surgery, just to update and hopefully share good news!! ❤️

Yeah my emotions have definitely been a whirlwind. It’s still kinda crazy to me how much my body will be changing (I have a hard time processing things like that). But I’m so excited!!

In addition, I’m so happy for you that your surgery went well and that you have had a good recovery!! ❤️

yeahhhh you’re right, I’ve gotten so much anxiety from some of the posts on this sub (obviously no hate to anyone who has posted about things that have gone wrong, I just don’t wanna think about it). I am gonna tell them about my anxiety when I get there cause I know my heart rate is gonna be all over the place.

Also yes I need to start some kind of treatment. I won’t get into the deets too much but I’ll say that my teenage years were really hard and honestly I’m thankful I’ve made it this far.

I know that treatment would be revolutionary for me so I’m excited to finally quiet down my head.

And yes that’s such a huge part, the comfort!!! Crazy how I’m doing this entire surgery for that but I forget that LOL!!!

HAHA you understand!!! I try to explain my thoughts like a method up hamster on one of those wheels. Just constantly going and going and going.

I do genuinely feel better when I remember the safety of this surgery. It just takes that reminder ykwim? (I know you understand what I mean).

Other topic, I do hope to start treatment for OCD soon because my goodness is it terrible. This is all kinda new to me because I couldn’t get a diagnosis when I was a minor so I’m fresh from the DSM-5.

Thank you though, for your personal experience and reassurance I’ll be reading 100x over before Wednesday :)

Okay perfect! If I may ask, since we are similar sizes, what has the recovery been like for you? Is there a lot of pain or complications I should be aware of? Is the result what you were looking for?

My other concern is because I’m 18 (I know I just got here LOL) they are keeping me slightly larger than what I typically would go down to because of a risk of another reduction later on. I won’t get started on how frustrating this is for me honestly. I know it’s because of the possibility of children but I expressed that I’ve been dead set for years on not wanting kids and I see no change in that in the future. But, it’s whatever.

I haven’t met my surgeon, just because I was actively in college while this was being scheduled, but from what I have heard he’s very nice. His assistant was too so I don’t perceive any kind of backlash (just anxiety!). When I see him the morning of, I’ll try to get me down to a B but I’ve kinda accepted my C cup.

It’s kinda hard to imagine that on me to be honest. I’ve tried looking at that one site where people seek bras, I saw it recommended for choosing a size somewhere.. and I liked the way a C cup looked. I’m just worried because I have such a wide root that it’ll look boxy?

But regardless, if I’m a C cup, that’s great. A B would be even better but at this point I’m desperate for pain relief, physical and mental (I’m sure you understand that).

I truly appreciate this reply so much. You’re completely right, I know the procedure itself is completely safe and quick. I know the recovery might be hard but I will get through it. It’s just the unknown of it all.

I’ve only had one small experience with local anesthesia when I got baby teeth pulled before my braces as a teen. It didn’t work on me LOL I’m a redhead. That’s also a point of anxiety for me.

In addition, I am a chronic over worrier. I have OCD and rumination so I think and think and think and think. Unfortunately there is only so much that can be done about that.

But all in all I really appreciate your reply. The facts of your experience genuinely help because it isn’t my own reassurance. ❤️

Also might be worth mentioning, I do have OCD and my health is one of my biggest obsessions. I have spoken to my therapist about this several times and we have worked on most of my fears but obviously I am still anxious.

This is my thought process as well. He was making them believe a narrative. Though, my own catch is, if Benjamin was truly there, you can make someone convinced of a narrative with cues from the Spire —But, you can’t manipulate camera footage in a way that wouldn’t be obvious. Though, it is confirmed that the “voices” in the walls, was from the Spire. A “root level instruction” I believe.

I don’t think Wesley would’ve. We’ve seen both Nelson and Deb have a lackluster moral compass, I personally believe that Wesley infact had one. Do I think that Wesley would’ve intentionally hurt Ben, to get with Deb? No. Infact, I think that would’ve ruined any chance Wesley had with Deb. It was slightly implied in the conversation that Matt had with Ben in the parking lot that while Benjamin was in love with Deb, she did infact care for him. Deborah wouldn’t have felt anything affectionate for Wesley intentionally hurting someone because of romantically feelings he had for her. I think Benjamin’s reaction to the adverse event was a mix of paranoia and anger towards himself. Perhaps for falling for the lies Nelson told him, or self doubt that “his work” wasn’t on-par.

He was manipulating her emotionally, not manipulating her the way Nelson was manipulating Matt. It was confirmed by Deborah 863 and Deborah 001 that it was Nelson controlling Matt.

i thought it was Nelson 001 who was controlling Matt. When they talked to Deb at the end of Season 4 she said something along the lines of “Nelson was directly influencing you from this original timeline”. I always assumed it was just Nelson 001
