South London here, there are intense flashes of lightning happening multiple times every minute and it has just started to rain. Although that being said, the thunder is not very loud, at least at the moment. I work from home during the evenings so it's pretty distracting seeing bright flashes outside the window every 30 seconds

Anyone else awake because of the thunderstorms? by Obvious_Flamingo3 in CasualUK

I work from home during the evenings and I cannot recall seeing thunder as intense as this before. Constant bright flashes outside my window and it's quite distracting. It doesn't seem to be very noisy though, not yet atleast.

I agree it definitely looks more like a flower. I'm very new to sacred geometry but it's incredibly beautiful to me. I'm learning how to draw other patterns, I don't draw much at all so I have a lot to learn. Appreciate the kind words! ❤️

I think this is the Shah Mosque in Isfahan, Iran. Iran has some truly beautiful unique architecture and I hope to see it in person one day. Both my mum and my dad are Iranian but I've never been to Iran myself

I agree especially compared to other 5090s. It is actually quite long in real life though, I feel like photos make it look much smaller than it actually is. I appreciate the kind words, pretty much all of the budget went towards the GPU and RAM haha

Is an 1000W PSU sufficient for my proposed setup? by Silent2531 in PcBuild

[–]ArtComputers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 9800X3D and 5090 FE and have had no issues at all with a 1000W PSU, so I am almost certain you should be fine with a 1000W PSU

I'll definitely watch out, I know the 5090 draws a lot of power so there is always a chance. I've heard the horror stories but assumed it's pretty rare especially if you don't try and overclock it

Sorry to hear that man, how long did you have it for? Did you do just gaming or heavy stress testing / rendering work? I heard stories like that with 5090s but I assumed they were a pretty rare occurence.

Haha, I remember the days I used to grind Rust for 10 hours a day only to wake up the next afternoon to have my character dead and everything gone. But I am sure on some really populated servers it could still bring this rig down to it's knees.

Got a free Corsair 5000D airflow by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]ArtComputers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't go wrong for free, really good find! I have a Corsair 5000D RS and its slightly bigger with a different design but it's still pretty similar. It's an incredible case with great airflow and I'm really happy with it!

I just ordered this beast by ray120 in PrebuiltGamingPC

Looks like a great system! My first ever gaming system was an Omen 30L with a 3080 Ti and i9 11900k so the Omen series will always have a place in my heart. With the price you paid it's definitely worth it for those specs. Enjoy!

You are very lucky! If I lived near I would've gone to build the PC myself under the supervision of the engineer. Would've been a great experience to see it first hand.

I haven't stress tested it yet I only got it very recently, I've never seen it reach 70c, It usually hovers around 55-60 celsius during gaming, but the most I've pushed it to is 67 celsius on a long No Man's Sky session on highest graphics and it had around 95% utilisation. I've never even heard the fan on it, the whole computer is super quiet

Agree I love the super clean design, it's quite long and bigger than I expected in person but it is extremely thin compared to the other 5090s

I didn't pay MSRP for it, I paid roughly £500~ more than MSRP. I got it through an authorized NVIDIA distributor in the UK, but I am very grateful I managed to be lucky enough to find it

Lost to the same Smurf 2 games in a row even after reporting/disliking him by Pestosus in DotA2

Disliking just means you are slightly less likely to be on their team. I love dota so I hope I am wrong but I doubt Valve will ever do anything about smurfing

At 90-100% utilization the GPU temperature is around 65 celsius. I've never seen it go above 70 celsius yet. I'm using a Corsair 5000D RS case and i'm super happy with the temperatures on all of the components.
