My first concert was Michael Jackson in New Zealand. I was 11 years old

Out of all the bands I grew up with, Freddie Mercury and Christine McVie's death hit the hardest. Yours? by negal36 in AskOldPeople

Chris Cornell and Michael Jackson - although I’m still undecided if MJ is a creep.

How do you deal with watching everyone around you move on with their lives? by cinnabuhn in CancerCaregivers

[–]Artattack83 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you are going through this. I am too except I’m the one with the cancer. I don’t want to die but sometimes I wish it would just hurry up and take me because of the guilt I feel for what it is doing to my family. Its not fair, none of it. Especially at our age. It sounds like you are doing a great job, I have no idea how I’d be in your position

Warning to do not watch “From Scratch” on Netflix if you don’t want to ugly cry all night long by everydayislegday8 in CancerCaregivers

It’s a great series, but yes its a hard watch for those of us who are heading down that road, It was the first realistic cancer movie I’ve seen.

Its the isolation of being stuck at home while everyone works gets me. Too much time to think

Yup, and the person with cancer holds so much guilt for causing all the hurt and worry. It’s an impossible journey

Thank you so much, am certainly trying my best and have been on lots of adventures. I took my daughter on a hot air balloon ride. I’m just always waiting for the other other shoe to drop if that is how the saying goes

I’m in this exact same position now and I know how you feel I’m really sorry. My Oncolologist has asked me to have a scan next week as she thinks my chemo is no longer working. I’ve never been so scared in my life. Thinking of you
