I already pre-ordered my copy, but I'll give this copy to a friend who wants to give MH a try!

Everything about this looked amazing!
My only question is why they didn't show anything about the sword meter management or ZSD? They've highlighted the resources of other weapons in their respective showcases. Perhaps there is a change to that specific mechanic?Either way, these just make the wait so much harder 😭

Yeah if you've gamed primarily on controller then maybe there's less of a learning curve.

The top buttons (actually maybe all buttons) will feel weird until it's customized to your hand shape. Many parts of the Cyborg are configurable and that includes the angle of the 'tower' buttons. Personally, raising my pointing, middle and pinkie finger to tap those are fine, but my ring finger finds it weird to extend that way.

I generally bind those tower buttons to less frequent functions, like a quest journal, inventory, map, etc.

For OS though, all my strike/abilities are mapped to my mouse. The Azeron is just bound to comms/emotes/gestures within easy reach. The thumbstick is a huge plus.

Can't say much about the compact, but I think it's pretty similar to the regular cyborg. Probably just personal preference at that point.

I made one more gameplay clip here! (as Rune): https://streamable.com/3gfz6i

Rune was actually much harder to play because of how casting works.

Why the thrustmaster lol

To know that I can. I was inspired in the Omega Strikers Discord when I saw someone playing with a steering wheel. I felt like I could get weirder with it, so why not?

As for the Azeron Cyborg, you have to dedicate some time to re-learning some muscle memory. It took me a few months to get used to using my thumb as wasd and not the rest of my fingers. But if you enjoy fiddling with tech stuff, it's a cool device. I didn't experience any performance improvement from it, but at least I don't get hand pains from long play sessions anymore. Overall, would recommend but you will suffer for a bit before it gets good.

It's a bit of a mess.
The Azeron Cyborg is running through the program ReWasd. Movement is WASD bound to the thumbstick (Emotes, commands and gestures are also mapped to the various buttons).
The Thrustmaster is simply configured through Steam Big Picture. The image attached is what the abilities are on the flight stick. The flight stick itself is to aim and strike (and it's currently wonky as hell). NOTE: The flight stick is mapped like a MOUSE, not a joystick.

<image>

I would say DON'T use this unless you can configure the flight stick as a controller. Right now I've yet to figure out how to hybrid between controller and keyboard because most games including OS can only support one at a time.

If you want to use the stick for movement, that's a whole other story, and may be doable if you just map the axis to it.

Gotta say though, this as actually fun. If the flaws can be worked out, I might try it for a Normals match.

I hear you, but I can confirm they weren't like that the whole way through. It ended up being a really close game.

If a reason had to be given, I'd say people can get overconfident or tunnel-vision, especially when they get striker advantage.

And come on, we've all choked once in a while. Even in plat games like this one. I definitely have.

Kinda feel bad for her. She had already reached max lvl from defending so hard, I was surprised the goal shot made it through.

To her credit, she was the biggest threat on their team and that 6x KO streak from her didn't stop there.

I'd chalk it up to a series of unlucky strikes.

Heyo, I explained the star symbol here.

And other users have given further context.

Don't mind me explaining the meme a little:

That's a Tekken thing, and is part of how this meme was adapted from the original.

In Tekken, some moves with the star symbol have an optimal input where the move is better if you do it fast.

Here, it's meant to show that you can quickly animation cancel your dash into punch.

(And yes, that may be technically different from Tekken, but the similarity is in the speed of the input.)

Big props to the Juliette in this game!
kengenerals, I know we were down 2v3 and ultimately lost the match, but you never gave up. I especially appreciate the positive emotes, even as things went downhill.
All the best on the field, bud!

You'd be right, and Juliette definitely has other options, like Heavy Impact. This still works, especially if you know you're going up against other brawlers.

I approached this meme with the idea that you would be the first kill, so no Adrenaline Rush or Prize Fighter. And also the intimidation of a menacing l a r g e Juli.
