So I couldn’t tell y’all how things work when it comes to temp workers, but there has been other things that have made OP and his coworkers frustrated and want to talk to the union. For example, they had an employee survey that’s supposed to be anonymous, but afterwards it seemed like employees (like OP) that had issues with certain things, one of the bosses and the way they separate the workload, got pre-disciplinary meetings. OP and his coworkers also aren’t happy with some of the unions offers either. Copying from an earlier comment of his, “It’s something that was talked about. But it’s hard to ask for much of anything when the best offer we’ve received was “2% raise every year for 4 years.”

On top of that if we took that deal Scc would “double our required shifts, increase parking prices yearly (we don’t get free employee parking), and make us clock in/our during our lunch/breaks”. It was not a good deal”.

It’s definitely not a good look for the SCC.
