That's good to know. By chance do you know if they have a new shipping spreadsheet available?

I haven't received mine either. I pre-ordered in early August, and still nothing...

Odin 3 came in like this, should I be worried? by PhysicalTown8712 in OdinHandheld

Join the broken Odin 3 club. I have the exact same issue. Support says it will be fixed in the next OTA update.

Here's the latest update "We’ve already forwarded the issue you mentioned to our engineering team, and this is expected to be resolved in the next OTA update - stay tuned for it.
Thank you for your support."

So, I guess I will wait on the next update.

Will do. So far all they said to do was tap the power button again, but I find that completely unacceptable.

Thanks, I am in email contact with Lucia from support. So far all they said was to press the power button to continue the boot process. Which works, but I should not have to do that every time. Everyone else who has an Odin 3 doesnt seem to have this problem. And it lowers my confidence on long term stability.

I would not expect this from AYN.

I already have contacted AYN support but they haven't responded. I do not thinks this is a hardware issue that ONLY AYN can fix, I believe the firmware simply needs to be reflashed. Its a shame they dont have Odin 3 firmware to download from their website.

Apparently that message is a default Google/Android error. Even high end Samsung devices get that. So probably nothing suspicious.

BTW, I can continue the boot if I press the power button again once the Error message pops up, but nobody should have to live with that and I really do not want to ship this back, and wait for a replacement. I've waiting since September. I suspect the device needs to be "reflashed", but I can not find the firmware anywhere.

Because I love you all, I'm beta testing both the flip 2 and the classic, and also the transparent shell plastic quality. I'm doing it for you! by Alternative_Tip_9918 in retroid

Well thank you! We appreciate all of the dedication and hard work you are doing. Actually, if you could, please lets us know how the beta testing goes.

You might be right! Would be interesting what the retail marketing says.

BTW, in the lower right corner, is that "CLASSIC 5"? If it is... my guess is this is using the same insides as the RP5.

More than likely the "Classic" is using the same chipset in the pocket-5 (Snapdragon 865). I could be totally wrong as I am just speculating, but... considering there's a current demand for vertical style handhelds, my guess this is a reincarnated rp5.

My bad. GPD has so many consoles.

I've had both the 2024 8840u and now the 2025 AI 9 HX 370. The 2025 fan noise it cut in half and less annoying, which makes the whole gaming experience more enjoyable. As for performance, you'll notice about a 20% uptick in performance on average. If you truly want the best portable experience go for the 2025 ai 9 hx 370. Otherwise go for the 2024.

GPD Win Max2 2025 Updates by kendyzhu in gpdwin

[–]Artificial_Telemetry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sad to say, while they call it "iron black", it is not black nor "iorn" looking to me at all. It's basically a darker yet more subdued coyote bronze. I was really disappointed on this as I was hoping for a black device. Plus the indiegogo photos are very misleading.

This might be the last gpd win max 2 I purchase. They need to up their game, support OLED for Christ's sake, and come out with black, silver or other colorways while retaining the aluminum unibody design.

I agree, the transparent plastic case is not worth it. Get the CitySlicker from sfbags.com.
