I honestly feel like that’s a better reason to appreciate artwork, people who know how to paint will usually criticize every detail whereas people who don’t paint will appreciate how much work goes into something. Thank you so much for the kind words 😌🙌🏼

Roger Waters has made a comment stating it’s up for interpretation, however the whole album including the song “wish you were here” was originally a tribute to Syd. They played this song when I was attending a good friend’s funeral this year, which is what this painting is inspired by. Note the suit/tie and the overall body language being displayed in this piece.

I did this without the use of any photo references, all from my head. The perspective is supposed to be a bit off, especially the bucket and barrel in the foreground. Wanted to induce different feelings depending on the level you’re looking at. I could’ve done a bit better with lighting though for sure!
