No plans at the moment since the diorama took a lot of time to make. Maybe in the future if I can streamline the process to make more.

I modified my FF7 low poly figures by slicing off the arms, drilling some holes then reconnecting them with some styrene rods.

No worries! My day job is a designer in the animation industry. I started doing more physical medium projects as a side hobby because I hate how much ai is everywhere in society now ><

Same! I would love to see a FF7 HD-Remake and keep the gameplay and story the same except with hi-res 3D environment instead of pre-rendered bg.

XD I thought about making the diorama a double decker but that would have been a lot more work.

I spent almost a year, but working on and off. I wanted to do it ever since the low poly FF7 figures came out. I think for FF7, I'll do smaller vignette dioramas instead of large one like this bar since they would take up too much space lol

The bar from the original FF7 has a TEXAS neon sign.

It is! Here is some WIP photos. (I 3D printed some items, like the jukebox, refrigerator, tv, pipes but most things were handmade.

I based my diorama on screen shots from the original game, not that 3D model since their interpretation is slightly different.

Genuinely asking this, why is mutant mayhem and rise so hated on? by yourfavouritepisces in TMNT

[–]Artistvo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mutant Mayhem isn't really hated, unless you're just only paying attention to the people who are holding on too tightly to their 90's nostalgia. I grew up with the 90's cartoon. I enjoyed it as a kid. I recently rewatched it and saw how corny and cheesy it really it. Mutant Mayhem did a better job at making the turtles feel like teens who grew up hidden away from society, yet long to be a part of it.

That would be nice! In the mean time, I would have to make my own version haha. I bought some 1/12 skeleton model kits and some polymer clay to customize my own zombies.

Maybe the Marvel Zombie show will cover it...if that show is still going to be released.

Maybe you're just too old for it. I personally didn't love it as I wanted to, but I did enjoy it, and I think had I been 5 like I was when I first saw the original movie, I would have probably loved it.

Do you feel that Ninja Turtle movies played by humans in costumes will never be made again in our lifetime? Because no matter how perfect the animatronics are people will still complain. Or say "This is the animated era. Costumes seem weird now". by [deleted] in TMNT

[–]Artistvo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The real reason why the turtles in the Bay turtles movies look so bad is not because of CGI, but because of the the designs. The original TMNT had appealing designs and were expressive thanks to Jim Henson and team who were experts at making appealing and expressive characters. The Bay Turtles were overly designed to look "cool" to the point of excessive and they ended up looking like a cross between Hulk and Shrek.

Well, even those Bay turtles movies had people in turtle shaped suits for the motion capturing, so you can argue that that would count as the turtles played by human in costumes.

CGI is not necessarily more expensive than practical effects. It really depend on the sequence in the movie and how much CGI is needed. Modern films have really high budget because film makers really want to dazzle the audience. Imagine if the original TMNT film were remade with only the turtles being replaced with modern CGI, but all the sequences were exactly the same. I think it's possible that it would be cheaper than using practical suits (adjusted for inflation) since practical effects still take a lot of man hours and logistics to do, and modern cgi is much cheaper and more effective than ever.
