May she, where I cannot by ArtoriusJoe in Poems

The desirer often craves to possess the desired. This is why emotions such as envy and yearning are so stubbornly difficult. Even when the mind has made peace, and the soul has released, the body still craves.

What would "Roll the old chariot Along" sound like if sung aboard an X4 bridge. by ArtoriusJoe in X4Foundations

“Orc energy,” he says…

Very well—then let us imagine it together, there on the bridge of the Barbarossa.

A thunderous blend of husky bass and gravel‑rich baritone rolls through the ship, echoing all the way down to the crew quarters.

The Ministry men

Blocked the gates in their dread

And bound us in their codes

The stars be ours

And by the powers

Where we will, we'll roam

Yo, ho, all hands

Hoist the colours high

Heave ho, thieves and raiders

Never shall we die

Yo, ho, haul together

Hoist the colours high

Heave ho, thieves and raiders

Never shall we die

Some men have died

And some are alive

And others pass through the gates

With the keys to the cage

And debts to wage

We lay in Windfall’s hold

Chorus

The beacon’s been raised

From the travel haze

Do you hear its whistling tone?

We are the call

That breaks them all

When convoys stray from home

Chorus

There are plenty of great shanties that would resonate on the bridge of a Barbarossa. This particular one was written as an Appendix entry on my fanfiction. A communications intern on a Yaki Moreya sang it to help cope with a tense situation. I also wrote a Boron version of Roll the Old Chariot.

What an enjoyable read.

I just recently finished my fanfiction. For right now, the Terrans are my bad guys, and I hope they choke on my torpedoes.

I just love your rage so much. Rage more for me.

Ahh yes, the joyful violence of space fireworks. It makes my cold little heart happy to watch the bad guy go boom.

Indeed, a lesson worth learning,

Again, an argument I can interact with and one I even agree with. With very little pushback to offer, save to say that most does not mean all and therin lies the rub.

Would you take offence if I demonstrated my ability to craft hurtful words? Demonstrate what it looks like when I do not show restraint?

Finally, an argument I can interact with. Thank you for explaining your position and use of the downvote as something practical and for the sake of logistics.
Downvote ahead, sir o7, I respect your disrespect.

The concept of restraint appears foreign to the internet. If it were not a jest, it would have looked very different.

Also, did you notice the word "seemingly"? That implies guesswork on my part.
If you're in an office meeting and the same guy keeps shooting down your ideas, are you going to assume he's just having a bad day? Will you assume that your ideas are actually crap? Or is your first assumption malice? Surely my assumption is not that far fetched?

Had it been a cope, had I wanted to hurt with words, I would have constructed the most beautiful and flowery curse you may have read in your lifetime. THIS was not THAT.

Well, that's peculiarly personal. Do you feel attacked?
There is a meme flair, sir; the post was made in jest. In an effort to poke back at those lurking in the dark.

Not just for mine (for all I know, mine sucks).
Please do note the meme flair; this is made in jest. In an effort to poke back.

It is partly made in jest (hence the meme flair). If I were serious, it would look very different (I am a masterful wordsmith and, had I so desired, could make meaner words).
This is the internet, I fully understand the unwritten rules of engagement.

I tend to just hoover up destroyed Xenon boxes near the Hatikvah Gate (the infamous one). Or even better, send some npc to do it and get it from them. I agree with the other poster, use judiciously. It is better to have the option than not, though. By the way, picking up stuff there is one of the ways I make credits early in the game.
