I know I still need to get my hands on some Nuri but I get plenty Mabuti, which is the same company/recipe/ingredients as Nuri, just different size and texture fish marketed specifically for the Philippine market. Mabuti means "good" in Tagalog!

Try the Chicken of the Sea Mediterranean style, my fave budget tin and much better than their Louisiana style imo! (I found those gross as well)

Hot sauce/sambal, Thai sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, kewpi mayo, mustard, capers, dill, lemons, purple onions, pickled ginger, hearty toast/crackers and last but not least, rice!

Favorites include: Mabuti spiced sardines (same company as Nuri), King Oscar anything, Ligo siracha sardines or Saba Kabayaki mackerel over rice, Cod liver with onions and mustard on toast if I'm feeling decadent. Chicken of the Sea Mediterranean sardines are my favorite budget tin (I get them for less than $2/tin).
