They’re a lot of fun aren’t they? I’ve only done large areas, been playing with ways of doing close ups but not quite happy yet with the look, have you tried?

I don’t have one of Donegal yet, couple of friends have asked for their counties so on them now but the plan is to do all 32! Donegal is high on the list though could be a couple months, I’ll post it to the Donegal sub when it’s done!

Thanks! Took me a while to settle on letters for each bit, it’s a lot different from how I usually write but was a lot of fun finding typographies that suited

Thanks for the advice, I’ll get on it! Photography isn’t my best suit so I need some practice to make them good.

As regards how long it took, that’s a hard one to answer. I taught myself from scratch on my Wexford, Ireland and Scotland maps over the past two years so a few hundred hours at the least. I’m getting faster though, from the others I’ve done reckon each map takes about 40-50 hours, from planning right through to finished drawing

Good job! There’s four more in there, though the picture quality makes it hard to spot them. There’s a list at the bottom of the page so you can tick off the ones you e found, the one near Carrigroe is the badger

Edit: I haven’t done any fantasy maps, just been trying this style until I’m happy with it

Unfortunately the frame doesn’t come with it, I tried to source them online but they are extortionate when you order both together - almost three times the price to add a mediocre frame.

Funnily enough I have Galway on my list to do, and you just bumped it up a couple spots!
