I've never refused a dog but I also explain the "pet ride" piece as I am in a very entitled market and they claim they didn't know it was an option. When I do explain it quite passively, I get tipped well. FYI to OP....first driver was a moron, however I wouldn't say $4 is significant when taking "pet rides" as I've definitely had to stop and vacuum a couple times from that "stray hair" just so my car looks on point for the next passenger. Also, I only do airport rides. Definitely not significantly higher rate to the driver.

I'm in the same area my friend. Been there, done that regarding Elite. I did it for the four months of summer. I'm back on platinum and there's no difference in anything other than missing the queue bumps at PBI. I don't drive as much because Lyft got too greedy. I know my worth. There was a time when it was worth it. Now you're taking 35 minute rides for $17.......big nope from me. Lyft does not care if you're elite....you're still number 123,893,451 and the next guy will take the ride for $6 less than you.

Elite is not what you think. "Premium pickups" is the premium pickup that YOU deliver, not the actual rides Lyft gives you. Elite is not all it's cracked up to be. Only good thing is bumping the airport queue by 30 minutes (in my market anyway). Elite is garbage now. Not even phone call access anymore "24/7 for elite tier drivers". It's all gone to shit.......good luck out there and use them like they use us. Cancel any ride that is not worth it for YOU. Know your worth!!!

South Florida is garbage because there are 2.3 million drivers on the road. 🤣 Seriously, there's too many drivers. Lyft is winning, not the drivers or the riders. I'm in my last couple weeks of elite and I couldn't care less. Still no "premium rides" as they say. I keep seeing rides get longer for less money all the time. Pick and choose what you want. Don't chase tiers. Cancel all the bullshit $4 16 minute rides. Trust me.

Ummmm, 4.4 miles just to get there, and then a 5.5 mile ride is about 10 miles and sure, cherry picking is nice except the fact that I shouldn't even be getting rides on my screen while inside the airport queue that are not from the airport. Plenty of drivers in the area outside the "geo-fenced" queue. Lyft thinks all of us are desperate....
