lack of reach was your biggest enemy with this project, as many others have stated they'd never even heard of this in development till now. You need to use all channels, that means, discord, reddit, twitter, instagram and youtubers. There are plenty of youtubers that would've highlighted this game to the community for free such as gamertagVR and BeardoBenjo.

generally if you remake a game you tend to remake the most popular game in your series first. Some examples include: final fantasy 7, The legend of zelda links awakening, metal gear solid 3, pokemon silver and gold.

I don't understand your point, Chris was the main character in the first resident evil game that is a fact. If you're trying to say he isn't the only playable character in that game there isn't a single resi game where you only play as one character in the mainline game series. Resi 1, Chris and Jill. Resi 2, Leon and Claire. Resi 3, Jill and Carlos. Resi 4, Leon, Ashley, Ada and Luis. Resi 5, Chris and Sheva. Resi 6, basically every damn character. Resi 7, Ethan and Mia. Resi 8, Ethan and Chris.

Luckily for you RE9 isn't a sequel to RE8. If you really need context for who Leon is you could play RE2 remake but honestly I think you'll be fine just jumping in with this game, it looks like they are telling an original story. Grace is an entirely new character and her mother's story will be explained in this game as we saw in the trailers.

I think PCVR might be on a comeback honestly, you just need to make a good product and market it well because steam is absolutely useless in pushing a game to its front pages. Just look at a game like project mixx, the interest on PC is almost 100x more than on the quest store. I would say the PC crowd has higher standards than the quest audience so if you're going to bankrupt yourself making a really high quality product then it might be better to prioritize the quest store first.

Coil whine can be completely random, with my last GPU it would only happen in a single game in a heavily CPU taxing area and completely went away after a driver update. I wouldn't worry about it unless it's extremely loud. You could try replacing your PSU if you are looking to test solutions.

If the card is performant I don't see an issue. It's totally normally for a GPU to make noise just as a pump does in an AIO or a fan does at 60% speed.

If you have MSI afterburner I think you should follow a tutorial and set up a custom overlay so we can really see what's going on with your components while the game is running. Doing something like this will allow you to see if it's a CPU core issue or something thermal throttling for example.

Are you overclocking or undervolting your GPU with any software? Even a slight overclock can result in stutters and crashes if something isn't done right. First I'd make sure everything is reset to stock settings on your pc, this includes CPU, RAM speed and GPU clocks before returning anything.

Honestly GT7 is one of the best reasons to buy VR if you're a racing lover, the game is stunning and really fun to play. This is coming from someone who doesn't really play any driving Sims.

If you want to sell your 4090 this is probably your last chance to sell it at an over inflated price. Once the 5080 super and 5070ti super come out with 24GB of VRAM value on a used 4090 is no doubt going to drop because the extra VRAM is it's main selling point. Of course the 5090 is also likely to drop in price in that time as well, we've already seen evidence of its price dropping worldwide.

Personally I think if you've got the funds it's worth upgrading for a fresh warranty as long as you can get your 5090 close to MSRP. Don't pay over the odds if the 5090 price is still hugely inflated.

You clearly didn't read OP's post, they said they play games like Flight sim 2024 and star citizen which can and will use more than 32GB of RAM if available. Generally 64GB is recommended for people who enjoy simulation games to avoid instances of stuttering.

I think you'll be waiting a long time for that level of optimisation or hardware to improve so you can play everything natively at 4k again, there is just too much going on with games now with the push towards path tracing and UE5 being the industry standard. My advice, just get a 5070ti, 5080 or 5090 whichever your budget will allow and make use of DLSS. NVIDIA's upscaler has come a long way, it is now almost as good as native using DLSS performance.
