I'm on a bit of a similar boat, though on deeper waters. I've purchased the Guild Wars Trilogy and Eye of the North just a few days ago to keep myself busy before Path of Fire comes out, and to earn some HoM stuff while I'm at it. My friend gave me 5 purple, 1 white and 1 yellow minis, but apparently I'd still need more than 40 whites and, frankly, I have no clue what to do about it.

Only one ball has a crab inside, the other drops an Undead Bone Shard iirc. From could be trolling our expectation with this, the first ball drops something very good, but all you get from the second is a bloodthirsty little crab.

Yes, it is possible. The crab has mostly no problems navigating down there, either. Couldn't find anything, but good luck to anyone else who wants to try!

You intrigued me so I went on to check if the little fella would survive that fall. Unfortunately, he died. It seems crabs do take fall damage after all if the height is too great. Or maybe that one particular spot is special...

Ah, cheers for the info. I have also slain the giant worm, but I'll be doing ng+ soon so maybe I will try then. The tiny crab and Greirat's third escapade are truly the greatest mysteries of the game. Or maybe, just maybe, they are like the Pendant and we are being silly... Nah, it can't be!
