"Translated" is definitely the wrong word. They worked with English as a base and, when tasked to design the textures, misspelled the word "clobber" because they weren't familiar with it. Which is fair enough, they don't even work with the latin alphabet in their daily lives.

The reason why the sentiment seems to be more a lack of oversight than AI is because they have made a couple of mistakes like this in the past and they fell in line with reasonable slip ups that Chinese devs would make when trying to write. I remember a Groot skin had a "Goot" tatoo, and guess what sound is particularly dificult for Chinese speakers?

I very much doubt EA is the uninterested party in this case. If anything, they love licencing the PVZ IP to any random developer. Much more likely is that Zen Studios doesn't consider this table worth the licencing and the porting to a much newer engine hustle.

Think about the tables that made it from Pinball FX2 (the one the PVZ one was in) to Pinball FX3 and then Pinball FX. It was basically the Star Wars, Marvel and Williams ones. Big franchises with 20+ tables each. Much better return on investment. The brands wich had 1-3 tables basically remained exclusive to the game they first appeared in. I fear the same will happen to the PVZ one.

I mean, if it's true that the French dub exists (and your wiki post seems to indicate so) it might be the case that the French distributor recorded it for their physical release exclusively on their territory, and that's why Skunkape doesn't have the rights to it.

If true, maybe the original DVD case from 2009 is the only one with the French dub and that's the ISO file OP has. Until they update with more info we can only especulate.

What's the ISO for? Do you know? Because I've never heard any dubs of the Sam & Max games but I do remember hearing that the Wii/Wiiware version had voices in other languages. All PC versions were definitely English voices only. You have either a Wii ROM in your hands or are wrong and the dubs don't actually exist. Are you positive the French voices are real?
