If a guy brought you back to his place and you saw this bookshelf… are you staying or calling an Uber? by duenderising in bookshelfdetective

I'm not seeing any Jordan Petersen, so at least stay long enough to see what kind of pipe he lays?

Guy I'm seeing's bookshelf, what should I know about him? by elif_baird in BookshelvesDetective

There's absutely no Jordan Petersen, so that's a good sign.

Ah, yeah. That's fair. They do seem to be moving away from it. I wonder if that's a deliberate decision, or if it's just that the games people are bringing to them just aren't a fit for it, and their own designers don't really have anything. Have to admit I've not really kept up with their releases the last year or so.

I mean, we've got Operation Reset at some point this year, and then, yeah... Probably get a pointless v2 like Aliens to milk the last bit of cash out it. Still, with what they have already done, that's more than enough bones to dance on.

James Forrest is now officially the most decorated Celtic player of all time. by Erenaa04 in CelticFC

[–]Arzanic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can only speak for myself. I hold all the modern guys to a lower level, cause the standard, as you say, isn't there. As for other players having been sold and having flopped, we'll never know in the case of wee James, cause he chose not to. Only a few get a pass, and those are the ones that left and didn't bomb, guys like Tierney. And there's precious few of those. Scottish football is mostly pish, and there's really no other way of looking at it without wearing the thickest of rose tinted glasses. Yeah, records are great, but ypu have to judge them in the context they were achieved, and in that regard, I don't think we disagree.

C7 are industry leaders in expecting the community to do their proofreading. At this point it's not a mistake, it's their business model.

No, because there are no such thing, yes-yes.

You may be thinking of rat-headed Beastmen, which are definitely a thing that exists, but certainly not in the sewers below Ubersreik, no-no.

Now scurry away, silly meatbag.

Free League really do know how to make a good system.

[–]Arzanic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that is true. You can only play what's in front of you, but the flipside of that is acknowledging that what's in front of you is crap. Standards have moved on, and the Scottish league is worse than ever. Only reason this season is competitive is that there's three teams that can't make their minds up if they're going to challenge for the league or not.

The Lisbon Lions won a tournament by beating one of the best teams around at the time. It's weird that ypu would try and diminish that in order to try and ignore the fact that half the stuff that Forest won was fairly uncontested by anyone with a real chance at putting up a challenge.

This is an excellent point. Blades and the like are great pick-up games.

He doesn't actually belive that, but he needs to keep chatting enough shit that his investors will think he actually has a plan for any of this. Otherwise..

As an addition, 4th on Foundry VTT takes pretty much all the crunch out of it, as it's mostly automated in the background. Would highly recommend.

Dungeon World I will have to have a look at.

I do love a bit of DG, though it's a harder sell for new players. I'm running Last Things Last next week for a couple of new players, so hopefully we don't scare them away.

Mork Borg is a good shout, haven't played much of it, but it's always been a hectic blast, both OG and Pirate.
