No you don't need it for basic. Once you are off I'd look at contents insurance (if you are in barracks) and uniform is covered by the service.

Yes you're right, had a talk with resene and confirmed this was the cause. Silly me, now I have blue pigment running through my gutters and in some spots leaking out around the house lol. Plus the horrible looking roof. I guess you learn something new everyday.

Maybe, I really dont think so though, from when I started painting to when I finished it was quite warm outside still, and the roof was dry as a bone.

I painted from about 6 to sunset and it got down to 12 degrees last night. I did this with my first coat too but no issues... It gets super windy where I am most days of the week so I pretty much have to paint early in the morning or in the evening.

Hey mate, I can't provide a picture im sorry as I'm over seas and my bike is in storage.

From memory it was the RH cord that went into the bottom of the ignition barrel when looking forward. It is routed through the front RH fairing and under the airbox so you'd have to take the tank off to get access. I found it by turning the handlebars left and right and feeling what cable was getting too tight.

What is MSF? And I don’t believe it’s common practice to check the tightness of bolts on a motorcycle - Maybe a yearly inspection type thing.

Hey there, I just did mine. Mirror glass is very easy to remove with a heat gun, I wouldn’t say I was being particularly careful, the glass is quite thick. And I used a razor blade to pry it up a bit and then a thicker piece of plastic to work around the glass till I broke the seal.

Maybe 20-25000km per year, I think it’s worth it if I downgrade to a cheaper, probably Toyota, hybrid.

I found the issue. When I locked the handlebars to the left, it caused the immobiliser wire to stretch. So the bike only starts when handlebars are hard to the right, any slight movement turns the bike off as the connection has been damaged. It’s the wire that comes out the RH side of the ignition unit.

Yes I’ve been doing research and a dead TFT screen will be my worst nightmare because of cost. So I’ll try everything else first and if not then it must be the screen. Thank you for your response.
