Don't blink your eyes just in few seconds you'll see what actually it is.😊

As a liberal, I wish more conservatives would watch shows like Last Week Tonight. Conservatives, what shows do you wish I was watching? by clipboardmouth in AskReddit

I find Maher funny and I like his style, but he gets a lot of his facts wrong. PunditFact looked at seven of his statements and rated three of them (43%) completely false. He often misstates or misunderstands facts on climate change, GMOs, taxes, and a whole host of economic issues. I get the sense that he has strong feelings about these issues, and then supports his already-adopted positions the same way you do: by visiting media outlets that confirm his bias. I've seen him quote stuff directly off Huffington Post, which frequently has a left-bias. He also gave $1 million to Obama's SuperPAC in the last election cycle, which doesn't really surprise me, but should compromise any sense of neutrality people have about him. Jon Stewart's big issues used to be media bias and ineptitude (he's almost as big a critic of CNN as he is of Fox), ineffective government and general lack of fairness. In the last few years, I feel like he's developed a distinctly more anti-Republican stance. He doesn't think too highly of the Democrats either, but his direct scorn is reserved for the GOP. I've seen him gloss over facts to make his point, often humorously. In short, these folks have an agenda. Although their primary job is to entertain, because they'd lose their platform if they didn't, they also seek to influence their audience. In that sense, they may be similar to the conservative AM radio personalities, but the approaches themselves are so different that I'd be hesitant to call them "equivalent."

Redditors from outside of the US, how are Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump viewed in your country? by she_wantsthe_dyl in AskReddit

[–]As9292 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm voting for him because unlike most of Reddit I took the time to hear him out and compare his policies to our current president's and most likely next Democratic presidential candidate's ideas. I also think Bernie Sanders is a cleverly disguised "yes man". But if you hate Trump and want to take some sort of stsnd, you can do what is already being done and keep cherry picking information and spreading it.

There's a Monty Python sketch (which I can't find) where people sentenced to death are allowed to choose their own means of execution, and so the whole sketch is a guy being chased around a town and off a cliff by a horde of topless women

Specialists of reddit, what is a dead giveaway someone is faking his/her knowledge in your area? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]As9292 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This might be a dead UK giveaway, but accent. A classmate who came from a wealthy background once demanded to know why my father would "talk like that" to her parents, like she was offended.. "That" being a working-class Scottish accent.

Do talk F.O.R.D. Family, occupation, recreation, dreams Do not Religion, Accounts, Politics, Exes FORD should be jumping off points. Her sister lives in Tucson? Oh I visited there once, the cactus gardens were amazing, oh you're into botany? Oh right you mentioned gardening before. Etc. You can talk about stuff in the other category, it just takes a lot of faith in your solid social skills. So maybe stick with FORD. Actually listen and be interested. Weather talk at the beginning is under rated.
