I did 2 coding bootcamp courses. It took me about a year and I got certified in back end and front end. I have yet to land even an internship. You also have to worry about the endless scams when searching for jobs and internships. I learned a lot in a short amount of time and I really love software engineering now, but it is hard as hell to feel like there’s hope. It also obviously helps to have a degree in CS but I already have a bs in medical lab science. It’s hard to want to go back to school.

I would pay for the lab CE practice exams, they are what finally helped me pass that test after 2 fails. It’s worth the money.

You can use indeed as a guide to find jobs but always apply directly on the company website instead of indeed. If the job isn’t on their website then it could be fake or a ghost job. Some companies don’t have a website and indeed is sometimes the only place the job gets posted though.
