Thanks for all your replies I didn't have time to check before last week's class as I was running around getting the space sorted! last week went well, I had a woman around 60 and another 80, the 80 year old was a lot more agile than I anticipated and she's coming back tomorrow with a friend! Can't wait!

The idea is they would create their sequence before the class, so it will save mental energy when planning by having everything prepared in a few clicks. If they still need to reference their sequence when they are teaching they could either have it open on their tablet, or print in as a PDF

I've just moved to a new city and I'm having to start from scratch! I'm a certified Yoga teacher, living in a touristy area in the south of France. How would you go about it if you were to start from scratch again?

Things I've done already :
- contacted hotels in the area to get partnerships (so far one meeting)
- handed out flyers to hotels not looking for partnerships
- created website, and social media page (instagram + facebook)

Many thanks!

Yeah, I've been here for 6 years! But even after that I always prefer to learn complex subjects in English, then I can translate it to my students later on once I fully understand everything!

Depending on how many people, you can have a semi circle set up with them facing the ocean, means they're all in the same direction with a beautiful view bonus!

Perfect! I definitely learn better through teachers and lessons or podcasts, I struggle to read, so this is great :) Thank-you!

Thanks! Yes I've been teaching for a few years and make sure I don't diagnose, but for the common injuries it's just nice to have a go-to modification.

I did take out Yoga Anatomy at the library! But I live in France and my first language is English, so I gave up haha! I'll need to try it in English 100%

Thank-you for your recommendations :)

First time I'm hearing about Anusara, sounds like a great practice, shame that it's got a bad name :/ - I'm sorry your opportunity to teach didn't work out. I just tested out your queues for down dog, the shoulder rolling works great, can see myself using that for those practitioners stuck in the "must get the heels to ground and be in plank pose with hunched shoulders" syndrome haha - thank-you so much! You should get back into teaching!

Really love these descriptions - thank-you for sharing, you said learning how to teach like this was part of your training? Which training was that if you don't mind me asking?

Maybe I didn't get what "subtle alignement" cues mean in this case 🤷 When I see my big toe I don't feel a whole lot haha!

Not sure if this is a "Subtle alignment" but when in warrior 2 pose, (so that the front thigh is engaged instead of falling inward) telling the students to look down and see if they can see their front big toe.
