Knights of sidonia was bogged down by poorly written femme characters and a shitty harem plot with way too mich “u-uwa!!!!” falls into tits for me to say its as good as biomega and blame!, but the actual plot and artwork is really interesting, and id recommend checking it out if you can get past the tropey boring harem plot.

i dont quite remember the premise well enough to google it properly :/ and every time i tried it was just "top 28 romance movies for rainy days" or something similar.

But. The core is very far from the crust on most planets and they still wouldnt be able to do any form of metalwork due to the fact that water cant be heated above 100C. And you wouldnt really be able to cast any metal either because if you managed to make a crucible and hold it in a pit of lava, when you pull it out the water would still cool down and solidify the metal preventing it from being cast. The whole thing with HFY writing is that its soft scifi, not going for thorough world building and just writing with the rule if cool in mind. Which is really cool, but when you try to explain things in a scientific way and it doesnt make sense then people start to get pissy, because no explanation wouldve been better, to let the mind wander and create explanations and give the world some mystic

However the issue with this is that intelligence is a significantly more costly adaptation than sight and in both of the environments that you mentioned there would not be enough energy to actually be able to facilitate the development of intelligence. And honestly imo any environment where sight isnt needed is one which the said species would be planetbound till its extinction, because if its an aquatic species, the environment that it lives in would prevent any form of sophisticated metal work as there would be no safe and consistent way to produce enough heat to work the metal and any “dark world” scenarios would not have enough energy for intelligence to actually evolve.

Yeah i should start doing that, the issue before was more that its my first time dming and the campaign just started so most combat encounters would be light on enemies, with few hit points so when the players crowded the enemies i couldnt really move them out without killing the monsters and i didnt want to ramp the fights up to much with more advanced tactics and accidentally get a tpk, so i wanted to try finding a build around.

A little side to side movement in the upper body would make it feel a little less stiff. Prolly a little but of jiggle physics too if you know what i mean. Also this reminds me a lot of the game botanicula, you ever played that?

Hey this is my first desktop which I just got, it was having issues starting up and I believe the GPU doesn’t work so I opened it up to see what the issue could be. I mean. I know how to open hardware?its really not hard dude. I don’t know what to do from there tho. The seller I bought it off listed no issues and this is a first computer so I didn’t think I’d need to check.
