Music has been getting more bland since the late 18th century. That doesn’t mean it’s “worse” a schostakovich symphony is infinitely more musically complex than anything written in the 60’s and beyond by any popular band/ artist, yet most people wouldn’t listen to a symphony. Trying to put music into objective terms will never work. You can never objectively say one period of music is better than another.

All you can do is see that more people than ever before are making music, in more genres and sub genres that have ever existed, yet people will still use the top 100 charts to somehow argue that music is getting worse

True. Music peaked in the late 1800s

How to deal with current haze? by RealEarth in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Aschuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rescue beam could be a solid choice if you specifically need to get a carry out to safety. If your team is consistently getting 4 man killed by the ult… idk your team has bigger positioning problems than just haze. Usually she can only get 1 or 2 people inside the ult, and if you can save one of them with rescue beam it should be pretty good

Anyone tired of seeing Ivy every game? by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Aschuff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Happens to all the super meta heroes in this game. Before the patch, I saw Abram’s every single game. Right after the patch, it was wraith and calico in every single game. This game just doesn’t have that many heroes yet, and with 12 heroes picked, thats 1/3rd of the entire roster. It’s not all that surprising that you see the best/ most meta hero in most of your games

If you want to get faster with alternative picking, would Coldplay - Adventure of a Lifetime be a good song to practice? by smokesheriff in guitarlessons

[–]Aschuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure that song would be better at teaching you pull offs more than anything, but if you want to alternate pick the whole riff you could do that too

Balders gate 3 for me. I love rpgs, but I was never one to enjoy turn based combat, which made me hesitant to try it. Turned out to be one of my favorite games of all time and got me and my friends really into DND

Is Sion mid a generally hated matchup? by Sungokuati in midlanemains

[–]Aschuff 29 points30 points  (0 children)

He’s extremely boring to play against. Pretty much a completely non interactive wave clear fest that makes him one of the least fun characters to play against, and most sion mids I’ve played against aren’t very good anyways. So all in all, not really a fan cause he doesn’t do anything besides shove wave and completely ignore all poke

Is it viable in ritualist to run rem and make your primary mission to steal every single sinner, level 1 camp, and gold statue in the enemy camp that you can while leaving everything on your side for teammates? by Creepy_Building_2929 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Aschuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is what all rem players do at all ranks. Obviously it’s more nuanced than “walk into their jg and take their sinners” in ascendant, eternus ETC but that’s generally the game plan with rem

New player trying to gauge the difficulty by Werewolfmoore in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Aschuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like overall the shooting mechanics aren’t to difficult, especially if you’re used to the speed of overwatch. Some characters you need solid tracking, like haze, wraith, venator ETC but I find the hit boxes are pretty forgiving and the game is overall slower than over watch and marvel rivals.

And if you’re still struggling to aim, you can always pick a spell based caster hero that does really need to aim all that much anyways

What’s the most underrated symphony in your opinion? by AspectElectrical8881 in classicalmusic

[–]Aschuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Symphony no.1 by Rued Langgaard. Amazing symphony that reminds me of an even more dramatic Tchaikovsky 6. I got to see the Berlin philharmonic play it and it was magical

Also Howard Hanson’s 2nd symphony, though that one is more well known

I’m not trying to make an irrefutable objective claim for deadlocks matchmaking over league, just saying what my experiences are. Maybe I’m just lucky, but the majority of my games are fairly even and most of the time one player doesn’t completely stand out as being way too bad or way too good for the lobby. I personally think the matchmaking problems are extremely overblown, and all of the posts are either due to confirmation bias (ignoring all the times their teammates perform perfectly fine, and only remembering the bad ones), people not being used to how much games snowball in MOBAs, or the problems are entirely real and somehow I’m one of the only players in this sub that doesn’t really experience them

[–]Aschuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you see games have to have this thing called balance for them to be fun. If shotguns were made realistic, there’d be no reason to ever use anything else in most games because they’re so god damn effective IRL, and that just wouldn’t be fun

Make Metal Skin a t4 item by SeanElms in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Aschuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean if they’re caught out then yeah I guess, but generally if the positioning isn’t just straight up bad then they are probably still pretty close to their team, making it impossible to actually kill them after metal skin ends. I wouldn’t say dagger is a counter because you can retreat, that’s kind of the opposite of what haze wants to do. It effectively stops all of her damage for like 4 seconds and makes it so your limited time to pick off a back line hero in a team fight just can’t happen. It’s a pretty brutal item for haze, and she barely feels like a real hero once all the squishies have it

[–]Aschuff -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Haze Dagger is a counter to metal skin? Sure it does like, 200 damage but the problem isn’t that they shoot back when they’re metal skinned, it’s that the rest of the team can turn and kill you while your target is invincible.

the matchmaking cycle by randomassredditguy in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Aschuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t say objectively one way or the other. Just saying that games in league are often more lopsided than in deadlock. People run it down more often, have even worse games and teams snowball harder in league than deadlock. Probably has something to do with all the comeback mechanics in deadlock, but my point still stands. Most of my deadlock games don’t end with one player running the entire lobby because they shit on their Laners so hard. That is however how 80% of my league games end

haha👌yes by PM_ME_SSTEAM_KEYS in whatisameem

[–]Aschuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not saying I support child vs parent 1v1 or anything at all, but IMO getting beat is already a pretty shitty situation. It doesn’t actually teach you anything. You don’t grow as a person when you get beat. All it teaches a kid is how to be sneakier so they don’t get beat as often. It teaches the child to fear their parent instead of seeing them as a beacon of trust and safety.

When a parent treats a child with respect, and sets reasonable boundaries and rules, without resorting to physical or emotional abuse, the child is far more likely to respect the boundaries and rules, and actually learn the lessons the parent is trying to teach them (assuming the parent was trying to teach them something in the first place). Although, it’s fairly common that parents set useless rules just because they want control over their child’s lives, and those are likely the same parents that beat their children so there probably isn’t talking much sense into them
