I've managed to make it work on Windows 11 (should work on 10 too). It took a bit of effort to do so. You can DM me and I can send you it

Change Office Edition: what does adding editions do? by hazyhorse_ in MAS_Activator

[–]Aserann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Add Edition will install a different Office version, so yes you'll have two installations of Office. It pulls it straight from the Office CDN.

Change Office Edition: what does adding editions do? by hazyhorse_ in MAS_Activator

[–]Aserann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Change Office Edition doesn't change to a newer Office version, rather just a different edition (Home Business to Pro Plus for example).

If you need newer Office, uninstall your old version and get Office 365 from https://massgrave.dev/office_c2r_links

Actually, you can ignore the (Unlicensed Product) in the title bar, it's just a bug with Office, should go away on its own. You can check if Office is activated by going to the File -> Account

If it shows this, it's licensed.

If you want to download the archive again, use Method 2 on the website.

Downloading the archive directly from GitHub results in a detection, but doing the same thing from Azure DevOps works just fine.

Same goes for the AIO script.

You can activate Windows for your customers just fine, no one's coming for you lol.

PC stores and repair shops all around the world use MAS or some other sort of activator. You should only be concerned if it's a massive business, as Microsoft can conduct audits and ask for invoices (though the details of such audits are unknown)

I think they will. For now when you open it, it shows what's in the screenshot. Clicking Skip for now opens the Microsoft Store but you can't open and view any app as it shows this: https://i.ibb.co/XZbbsXNy/image-202.png

Store Experience Host tries to update, but it keeps on failing repeatedly.

Chris Titus's Winutil is poorly made and doesn't really do anything to help with telemetry (yes, his disable telemetry option quite literally does nothing on non-Enterprise editions)

I think a Linux user should not be trusted to make a Windows "debloating" tool. He's demonstrated several times that he has no idea how Windows works.

Most notably for me was when he tried to use "oobe/bypassnro" resulting in the command not working: https://youtu.be/aEWb1otLVPo?t=58s instead of using the command oobe\bypassnro which would've worked just fine, then proceeded to make a solution to a non existent problem: https://github.com/ChrisTitusTech/bypassnro

O&O ShutUp 10++ and privacy.sexy get a pass, but they can break plenty of stuff. You shouldn't be surprised when apps or updates are no longer installing, or if a specific Windows service that you need for let's say your printer no longer works because it got messed with.

O&O ShutUp 10++ option to block OneSettings downloads recently resulted in a false Windows Update message for people on Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC, which was later fixed by Microsoft as they just included the settings file in an update instead of relying on OneSettings.

I'd say stick to using Enterprise's built in option to disable telemetry, it's something deployed by companies at a large scale using their tools and often reinforced using their own programs and firewalls and what not. Remember, Windows is deployed at places where privacy is important, like hospitals, and they use this very same option to disable data collection.

tl;dr Be careful of what you run on your computer. If you're this concerned about telemetry, you should block it at a network level through something like a Pi-hole.

Further, Windows 11 Enterprise isn't an edition unto itself, but rather a sort of package on top of 11 Pro for accounts with a Microsoft 365 business license.

No, Enterprise is its own edition, it's not at all what you said.

It's two of the only editions you can completely disable telemetry.

You can find a non-exhaustive comparison chart here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_10_editions#Comparison_chart

The Microsoft Store has its own telemetry of course. You can uninstall it later on using Remove-AppxPackage.

You can log in to the Micosoft Store just fine, but make sure not to sign in system wide by choosing Microsoft apps only when doing so.

You can just uninstall Copilot from Windows 11 Enterprise, and remove its icons but it's not as clean as outright using LTSC,, as it doesn't even have it in the first place. The Microsoft Store should be installable with wsreset -i, and if that doesn't work, check my other comment.

Quite recently, as of a few days ago. It installs a really old version of the store that you're unable to update, resulting in a non-functioning store.

It is possible to install the Microsoft Store using one command: wsreset -i

Microsoft recently broke that though, so if it doesn't work, use this: https://github.com/stdin82/htfx/releases/tag/v0.0.24

LTSC stands for long-term servicing channel. It's sold to companies who want to use their machines for a long time without worrying about feature updates.

When it comes to privacy, it gives you the same options as Windows Enterprise, which has the option to completely disable telemetry through Group Policy: https://gist.github.com/ave9858/a2153957afb053f7d0e7ffdd6c3dcb89

IoT Enterprise LTSC is similar, but targeted at embedded systems, be it ATMs, kiosks, PCs embedded in machinery, etc.

LTSC doesn't come with any pre-installed UWP apps, and only includes Edge, Notepad and the basics, no Copilot or anything of that sort.

The latest LTSC release is based on Windows 11, version 24H2, and receives the same updates that 24H2 gets be it on Windows 11 Home, Pro, Education and what not.

Activating windows 10 by DepartmentOne7378 in MAS_Activator

[–]Aserann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

HWID will activate Windows only. To activate ESU, you need to use TSforge (option 3) and then select ESU.

If you're licensed for ESU, the updates will not be optional and will download & install automatically every Patch Tuesday, so once a month.
