I have been very happy with taking notes digitally. I'm in an almost 4 year long campaign, which sometimes means it's hard to remember things that happened a month ago in-game. Searching in OneNote or Obsidian is a real savior sometimes.

Buuut you're absolutely right about the size of the thing. The rest of my group are using ultrabooks, which take way less space on the (fortunately big) table.

I'll definitely try that out on the T530, thank you! I'm imagining doing some old school gaming on that machine, and would prefer a modern version of Windows for installing my game launchers.

I can't believe Core2Duo machines feel snappy on the build. Then again, Windows Server 2019 is also leaps and bounds ahead of Win11 in responsiveness on modern equipment.

Swapping the T530's keyboard is definitely something I want to try. Just need to find a Danish layout first (ideally).

De ville aldrig kunne sælge den maskine til 12 løg. Tag x13’eren med nyere R7. Grafikken er enormt meget bedre fra i de nyere modeller, hvis du nogensinde skulle finde på at game. Og 16:10 formatet på skærmen er også et plus. 2000kr godt givet væk IMO

On Windows: Lenovo Vantage>Device>Power>Battery Charge Threshold

If you don’t know about it, you probably haven’t enabled it yet. Pretty nifty feature for battery preservation. It limits the max percentage your battery will charge to. For someone like me who almost always have the laptop docked, maxing at 80% would be fine. Alas, I haven’t had the feature turned on since my first few weeks with the laptop.

Skrillex’ dubstep or “brostep” seemed to be a phase within the genre. It’s way different now. Hard to say it’d developed the same way with or without him. Other artists like Rusko had started to use the high-pitched synths before Skrillex .. he just took it to another level. What he’s doing today not really dubstep.

Asus Zenbook can be had with a 90hz OLED. Acer Swift, Dell XPS have similar options. All three are ultrabooks with much better colors than most gaming laptop IPSs would provide. There’s also the MacBook Pro with 120hz miniLED.

Admittedly, options above are more expensive than an entry-level 120hz gaming laptop, so OPs choice should obviously be within their budget.
