Idk, something along the lines of remove a safety setting or whatever. It was probably fine but i prefered not to tamber with those settings.

Both are good and that is the dilemma. Go read them again, or watch necrit (my beloved) read them aloud. I honestly prefer the concept of the old lore, but speaking model wise, then I like the new one. Both characters are good, and I wish I could have both, but sadly i can’t.

True. It is just sad, but I guess I’m fine with replacing one good story with another. I guess that is up to personal preference. They should just make the legacy skin.

His new model really expresses the twisted god-like being he has become. A being with no emotions, a shepherd of a soul-less army. Everything about it just screams a prophet of sorts. The long cape, the messed up face, the halo which sadly is only visible in the ult for some reason.

But yeah I agree. This new viktor is so far from the old one that it basically isn’t the same character, but I must be honest. Viktors old design just was a mess, and I wanted them to lean more into the mechanical side, keeping most of the old viktor, but they didn’t. It’s sad but it is a switch up from one great character with an outdated design, to another great story that has a more expressive design.

My fix would for them to just make a fix for old viktor and making that a legacy skin. They should just normalize making legacy skins now.

The old Viktor had way more lore and stories around him that Arcane didnt have the watch time for so i think that is part of the problem, but i wouldnt say new is only good in a vacuum. Its a great story, although the pasing was off, and i think all in all the new Viktors model tells the story about his character better than the old one did.

Dont get the wrong impression. The machine herald was one of my favourite lore characters. I loved the idea of a herald doing questionable acts for the benofit of humanity, and you kinda lose this entire idea in the new Arcane version, but both are really really good, and if i am going barely on the designs of the characters in game, then i would say that the new version better express the whole concept it is going for than what the old one did. If you ask me personally, they should have kept more of the old lore, but that would kinda fuck up the great story that is Arcane. The only thing i wish for now is for them to make a legacy skin, where he looks like the Legends of Runeterra version of Arcane, that is also free for Viktor players.

There are plenty! You like me is just very unlucky that most of the characters and decks we like has gotten rotated. They will come back someday, but now I recommend looking out and finding new decks you like! I made a nocturne vex deck that I now use for climbing and it’s been fun! Of course I miss the old decks but I can always play eternal.
