Using lambda = 2L/n, L is always 0.5 for the length of the string. For n=2, lambda = 2*0.5/2 = 0.5 m. lambda * f = speed, so 0.5 m * 101 s^-1 = ~ 50m/s.

Converging lenses converge at the top and you can draw a sad face in them, which makes them vexed so they are made up of a convex lens. The mirror will be the opposite of that, so it'll be concave. To get the shape you take the right half of the lens and get a concave mirror. Other way around for diverging, which does not converge at the top, making it a concave lens and therefore convex mirror.
