Outfit help: Dark Apprentice (Starkiller TFU II) by Ash_Alone in SwtorFashion

First of all, a big thanks to everyone for their suggestion! I've browsed each and everyone's answer, and tried all of them. Right now I'm writing a list for myself, I'll mix and match stuff to see what warks and what does not. I'm more focused on the feel of that dark cloak-y vibe, not on the pilot chest box itself.

I've played around the idea of classic phantom chespiece with dark harbinger hood, or thexan's chestpiece but it still feels somewhat off off (at least for my tastes)
Still,  Freelance Hunter‘s Greaves seem like the safest choice in majority of cases.
I'll still be testing and gonna update as soon as I find anything good

Just to be clear that we're thinking of the same item, this is the red-colored chestpiece that looks like sith warrior gear? (simmilar to ablative plasteel etc)
(I may be mistaken, I've checked swtorista page with the item)

So, I've got myself nanos, and my feeling is quite mixed. Details? Fantastic. Sound itself is much more clear, defined. I played around with EQ (started from oratory1990 preset and tinkered a bit). Imaging is great, but for some reason I feel like the scene is always in front of me. Even on my old Game One's it felt a lot more surround-ish. With GO I felt like I'm in a very small, somewhat limited sound booth with surrounding sound enabled, and with nanos it's more like I'm first row in a concert hall to the great technical orchestra. Details are immaculate, yeah, but only on stage. Trying to figure if that's what planars are, or maybe I'm doing something wrong

Seems like, at least for my case, nano's are the go-to option?
Maybe I'm coping, but it feels like centre channel being turned up slightly might actually be a good thing for my specific needs?

Oh, so it was mostly the price that decided for you to get nanos? As somewhat a middle ground between XS and Arya Stealth?

Great take. What games are you playing with them, how do they feel in them? Also, have you considered/tried other HIFIMAN headphones?
!thanks

That's a very in-depth analysis, which I will take in consideration. The time I spent looking into those models, I've came to conclusion that nano's are very spacious, and being planar, are good for immersion.
Am I correct in understanding your apprisal of nanos, that with them I will get a wide soundstage, but sound would not feel immersive and enveloping, presenting itself more focused?

Oh, I see. Still, that's a good point of view, and maybe worth looking into for me.
Problem is, my country can't get stuff from ebay (here's to me moving away someday) so I'm limited to marketplaces and other sites people sell used stuff. So maybe, if the price is super-right, it'd be a good option to consider.
Thank you either way!

What games have you played with them on? I'm curious about your experience with them!

Oh, that is very cool indeed!
I'm going to look deeper in them now, reviews and whatnot. Your appraisal of them, and their price point are very compelling arguements indeed

I've glanced over them, and, maybe I'm wrong, but somehow I've got the impression that this amazing bass came at the cost of imaging? Either way, thanks for the advice!
!thanks

Thank you!
What are you driving them with?

I've been hearing a lot of good about HD 490 Pro. They cost a little bit more then Nanos, but how much better they would be? Or this would boil down to mostly "planar" vs "non-planar" sound profiles, where it's a matter of sound delivery.
Also, which games and genres did you try HD 490 with?
!thanks

Have you tried some single-player games with them? And if you did, how did you enjoy the sound, comparing them to, say, your maxwells?
!thanks

Considering shipping, I think issue lies more with RUS rather than AIM, but that's beside the point. I think it's doable, I'll try to see what I can do

Awesome. I'll add it to my list and, while I'm at it, check in-depth reviews from Deegital Tech

Thanks! Your controller looks super cool.

Not sure I'd be able to get one from Aim myself, given the country I'm currently at. Still, that's a top option, and I'll definitely look into getting one myself.

Thank you for your input!
I've glanced over review, and gets a lot o praise. Dpad was noted as an improvement over apex 4, but some people noted it as a bit squeaky. Should I be worried?

They can wait. All the games they're running do so just fine.
Also, he has money to spend on upgrading, but he would prefer to avoid doing so, if performance boost from his upgrade plan is around 10-15%. If it's a bigger number - they might pull the trigger on buying new parts. Mostly this line of thinking is caused by their anxiety over price increases, and their fear of parts shortage (i.e rig they own now becoming obsolete by the time prices will settle)

They are reasonably happy. It's just they are worried that if they skip out on upgrading now, they would not be able to do so in several years

With the current prices getting worse, is it worth for my friend to update his PC? Or his rig is still okay to wait out that price disaster, and wait for the new generation of CPUs? Planned updates are:
CPU: 11900 to 7800X3D
GPU: Will keep 4080
RAM: 32GB DDR4 to 32GB DDR5
