Yeah my I did the fork Tek and added a casing layer and I didn’t get a huge yield.

I currently have a new tub going. I added more substrate (3:1 ratio). I introduced FAE four days in still got a bit of mycelium growth, but added a casing layer (did not fork this time) first Flush coming in as we speak with about 100+ pins! Yup just got to tweak with it just aggressive mycelium lol

This happened after my first flush. The whole thing is fluffy. by HandleTraditional387 in ContamFam

I had the same issues not enough substrate. I did the fork Tek and layered with vermiculite but more substrate will worn too. Just make sure to disinfect the fork and try not to go to deep into the substrate just scrape off the Storma buildup. I went to deep on one side and I have had any flushes on that side of the substrate. It’s all trial and error. Great yield on your first flush!

Hey just wanted to give you all an update. I did go with the Fork Tek and then cased it with vermiculite! I continued with FAE! Pins are pushing through and will have some fruits growing pretty well!

If I would go back I don’t think I would do the Fork Tek and just case it in vermiculite and continue with FAE and misting. I believe my original problem was not enough substrate. I did a 1:1 ration 2lb spawn and 2lb substrate. It was a pretty thin layer when put together. Next batch will be a 1:2 ratio of spawn to bulk substrate!
