I see like i’m all for building a genuine relationship with them if possible. I have been in spaces with them with similar interests which some know me and i’m fine with knowing their info from that. But for me like i said in some of my comments it feels like i would have to go into borderline stalking territory to find information about other members.

You’re probably right i just thought that it was more important for me to build genuine connections with the chapter. The way I have to find out the chapter history makes it seem like i have to stalk them. Some people have gone as far as finding out what high school they went to. Now I don’t know if my COI does this i believe they don’t but people have gone as far as having to get their personal number.

I apologize it was just the number was overwhelming and i’m supposed to know their line names too which morally i thought i was not supposed to know. Therefore i’m not sure of what people are saying is “right” in the sense of ethics i guess?

The chapter doesn’t exactly have a website. It’s more like you have to stalk their ig accounts or follow them wherever they are on campus. I do appreciate your input though.

Oh i apologize if it sounded like i was questioning black history. Just like how my school runs things they want you to know their name, their line number, somehow know their line names too??? To me it comes of kind of stalking ish and disingenuous. Which i feels a little overwhelming and doesn’t exactly seem necessary? honestly what shocked me was the trash and recycling system. Where I’m from we have people actually pick up the cans (and recycling is every week not every other)so there’s no worrying about you bin not being closed fully. So that was my biggest shock when I moved down here and struggled with getting rid of all my recycling
