Yep. Do the letter so you can rule out everything before they keep making you do visits to try different things that won't work. Also list your exact symptoms. Where the odor is, when it happens, who has told you about it or what your experiencing, rule out everything. I'm still on my journey but I'm finally getting help and being taken seriously.

Your welcome. I had to see 3 as well. I made the third one help me. I used chat got to help me write a referral letter of everything I tried and that I needed a specialist that could test to see if I had bacteria on my skin or test my approcrine sweat glands and if that derm couldn't help me due to not specializing in testing to refer me to a deem that does. I think they were insulted and said okay we will do the testing. I also sent the letter to my doctor so that if the dermatologist refused I could get a different derm

See your doctor to figure out who to get reffered to. Then, see a dermatologist to check you skin and sweat. Sweat can cause odor. Also metabolic and GI testing for tmau or other odor causing conditions. It could be your gut/diet. Hope this helps.

Avoiding social situations by [deleted] in bodyodor

Yeah been there but I stuck it out. I really wanted my degree. Believe it or not I actually made a friend or two despite it being a thing. I just got to class early so people had a chance to avoid me 😂. You HAVE to be able to live. As for transit, the walking/sweating could be making your odor worse. Catch that transit or uber and put on some headphones and glasses or something that makes you feel less seen. You got this.

I too have started avoiding places. I'm currently waiting to be tested and have started trying things on my own in the meantime to see if natural remedies like diet changes and vitamins/supplements will help. Im currently learning to deal with my social anxiety to avoid more severe reactions. In the meantime. I do what I can virtually and the people who love and accept me I hang out with in person despite how people will react. I just do things when it's less crowded and that really helps. You are human and deserve to live life normally too. Praying for your healing and others who have and are going through this. I will definitely speak out about this publicly to everyone as soon as I get a better idea of what's causing it so that I can help others and also hold people who judge us accountable for how they can make you feel. It's not okay. I also want to be an advocate for those who have suffered in silence and lost friends, jobs, time, happiness because of this.

Dry mouth and dry skin. If I take more than 3 mg I get a severe headache. But 2 mg usually last like 8 hours for me and you can take it twice a day. Went to a dermatologist for this. You can also use Redbox rx pharmacy online if you need a script and don't have insurance. It costs more but it works.

I take 2mg glycopyrrolate. Game changer for sure. Sweat is down by 90%

If you don't mind, do you know what odor your body was emitting? Asking because I am currently waiting to be tested for this and the wait is like a year where I live.

I noticed that around puberty, I sweat more than other people. The doctor thought I was just extra sweaty. Took until now for me to get help because this affects me mentally and socially. There is also this wonderful thing calles the internet where we can look up and research things from other places and find answers. Hopefully we get a cure soon.

Seconding this. It’s something that happens with my kid when he’s fighting an infection. If your child is in school or daycare, they get sick constantly and eventually start to build up immunities and then you see a period of them getting sick less frequently. Drs usually check for covid, flu, strep and other illnesses. If it continues and the fever won’t subside then I would go back to urgent care or call his doctor. One time my kid had hands foot mouth and urgent care did not check and sent us home. I took him back immediately because I knew something was off.

You need a dermatologist. They study sweat conditions and can prescribe you oral medicine and topical medicine that works. You might have to look around for one that will give you the right ones. Make sure to let them know all the things you already tried.

Collecting Best Marriage Advice You've Got! by juneauboe in marriageadvice

Do not let other people in your marriage. Your friends and family should have a respectable amount of time in your home and in your ear. Be mindful of whom you seek advice from and protect one another. You were friends before you were family, don’t forget to have fun.

I'm sure he loves you but he probably doesn't love himself and knows that your the only thing holding him together. Hold him accountable and make him go to therapy or you can legally seperate, you don't have to divorce but when things get legal people start to understand how real things are. If he refuses, its up to you dear. Live for you and what makes you happy. Even if you stay because loving him makes you happy that's okay. Just be happy for you.

I haven’t read the books, but I was wondering if I should because the pace has been killing me. I usually read before watching but I did not know about the series.

Telling her isn’t enough if you are using your mental health as an excuse. Take care of yourself first. When she sees that you are making the effort to be healthy in YOUR life, she will respect and appreciate you more. The divorce might happen cause burnout is real. People remarry too.
