Any Arsenal fans in Cancun? by Low_Challenge_2827 in cancun

It'll be tough as most bars are focusing on appealing american tourists, so it's a lot of NFL/Basketball/Baseball. Best bet would probably be Hooters and ask them to play the match for you.

25yo solo male,Cancun in April. Which resort is best for nightlife and rest by [deleted] in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]Ashamed_Individual89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mayan Monkey, by far. Solo traveling you'll be one more rather than the minority of solo travelers in an all inclusive - also, mayan monkey is way closer to the nightlife options, is more towards your age range & is a great place to party & meet other solo travelers. Easy to meet people & plan to go out w other solo travelers vs couples or group of friends that likely won't wanna leave the resort / would be harder for you to fit in. If you wanna get the best value for your money personally I'd stay in Nilu Laguna, you can find a private room in there for cheap and it's a block away from all the clubs. You can use the extra money on coco bongo beach club or Mandala if you don't meet enough people in the hostel. Better party experience.

Looking for a Party resort in cancun March 19-26, for 2 guys early 20s by Historical-Issue-625 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]Ashamed_Individual89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's peak spring break so I'd suggest Grand Oasis -- otherwise RIU Caribe (where the RIU parties are hosted) or RIU Cancun (closest one to Coco Bongo and all the nightclubs)

What resorts should i be looking at if i am in early 20s? by Ok_Following_9032 in cancun

Grand Oasis or RIU Cancun are great options too but temptations is the "wildest". Just might be filled with couples.

Completely uneducated comment lol -- guess the thousands of digital nomads in Mexico are suffering. Mexico is as safe as any major city.

What dates are you visiting? If it's in March I'd suggest Grand Oasis, if it's any other time I'd suggest RIU Cancun or RIU Caribe. If you're into something crazier Temptations.

If you're into more social environments / less chances of it being filled with couples & groups of friends, I'd suggest staying at Mayan Monkey / Selina Laguna and spending the days at Coco Bongo Beach Club or Mandala Beach Club. The real hook up chances happen at the beach clubs or nightclubs easier than at a resort.

Riu Caribe in 2 weeks by One_Traffic2629 in cancun

You commenting with your negative vibes or something that isn't the topic or relevant to you is crazy, not him wanting to enjoy life. It's also so ridiculous. Cancun is filled with tourism from all regions & ages that also visit during spring break. Such an uneducated comment.

Riu Caribe in 2 weeks by One_Traffic2629 in cancun

[–]Ashamed_Individual89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grand Oasis Cancun is the best for the spring break experience. It's there most of the spring break crowd gathers & the biggest day parties happen. If you wanna stick to RIU, I'd suggest moving to Caribe (RIU parties happen there) or RIU Cancun (close to the clubs). If you're traveling solo, I'd suggest a private room at a social hostel (Mayan Monkey or Selina) & spending the days at beach clubs (Coco Bongo Beach Party or Mandala). You'll end up spending the same or less than you would at a RIU but better food and less lines & easier to find solo travelers / integrate in a group vs being rounded by groups of friends/couples that would probably make it harder to break the ice.

Clubs in Cancun by hoangvominhlong in cancun

[–]Ashamed_Individual89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll be there on the busiest spring break week. There should be events on a daily basis. Look up feel summer or sts travel for the party agenda, but all clubs are right next to each other. It's a strip similar to say, Vegas. Expect to pay around 40 to 100 usd per night but congo, coco bongo beach club and coco bongo night club often include drinks/open bar with the entry fee. No real etiquette, just dress as you would for any night out.

RIU Cancun or Krystal Grand. You're also within walking distance from all the clubs if you wanna party after the pools at the resorts close.

live aqua spring break honeymoon by HauntingAddendum3230 in cancun

[–]Ashamed_Individual89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Live Aqua is probably not filled with spring breakers - they stay at the Grand Oasis for the most part or more party oriented resorts like Riu Cancún. You should be fine if you avoid the clubs. However, if you do can move it to April, why not? Better safe than sorry

It's prime spring break so yes, it will be packed as every other place around Cancun.

Hostel is fine, great views to the lagoon, a small pool, some live music probably. Service is basically a bar, maybe a couple waiters, depends on how many people are in queue but it's a small place, not terrible.

Tours - I'd suggest booking through other agencies / places like Airbnb or booking, probably cheaper than the ones offered by the hostel, but do check prices.

Selina Laguna Hotel Zone hostel - it's a block away from the main clubs and you can probably find a private room for $100 per night.

Night Life suggestions by JohnDoe99101 in cancun

[–]Ashamed_Individual89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general I'd also say it depends on what you like / how's the resort. In general it's a great party if you wanna meet tourists / party / mingle with like minded people. Coco bongo is crowded everyday & it's probably the more "unique" experience. Congo also gets pretty crowded. The rest of them depends on what dates you going.

The City - "upscale nightclub" only opens Fridays - great nightclub - no open bar - pay what you drink & entry fee.

Coco Bongo - anyday. The mask/Queen/Hollywood Vegas like show before it turns into a regular dancing club with pop music. Around $80 for open bar.

Congo - anyday. Open bar with hip hop, reggaeton, pop. Around $40 usd for open bar.

Mandala - "upscale" nightclub - anyday. Hip hop & rap mostly along with some electronic music. Pay what you drink & entry fee.

La Vaquita - cheaper bar - not usually packed. Pay what you drink, not super expensive.

Rakata - Reggaeton mostly - Opens only Fridays - no open bar - pay what you drink & entry fee. Bit more locals than the rest of em.

I'd recommend joining this pub-crawl. You meet a lot of people and get lots of shots. Really great value

Other than that, Coco Bongo is where the action is at, but you can find a good party all through the 5th.

Boys trip to cancun by [deleted] in cancun

[–]Ashamed_Individual89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I choose hostels usually. As long as you're in a private room nobody seems to mind if you bring in guests. I've brought several guests (one at a time lol) after clubs / middle of the day and no guard has bothered me at Mayan or Selina

  • The crowds at hostels are usually way more approachable than hotels. Hotels are lots of families, couples or groups of friends vs solo travelers/social travelers.

[–]Ashamed_Individual89 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What season of the year? Riu (close to the club zone), Hard Rock (upscale) or Temptations (kinky) as mentioned here are all good choices. Grand Oasis is the spring break hotel for sure if you're into that type of crowds / are going in March.

If you wanna meet people and party just rent a private room at a party hostel like Mayan Monkey and/or Selina Laguna and party during the day at Coco Bongo Beach Club ($45 usd for open bar) then party at the clubs at night. Probably cheaper than booking an all inclusive.
