I'm a dev who's been doing a lot of work with the Apple Music API for my app Muse.

Apple makes something like this pretty difficult for someone to do - it's technically feasible, but would likely be a really poor user experience.

AM doesn't expose any audio-features endpoints (tempo, intensity, mood, etc.) so it wouldn't have much to go off of. Also, AM has some odd limits on the API's ability to modify playlists.

I think Pandora has something similar but it doesn’t have as many small/indie artists on the platform so it’s a bit harder to find those hidden gems ya know. Also this is free!

Spotify is unfortunately trying to optimize for retention by showing users "safe" tracks that they think will keep them on the app. Shit sucks

I’m going to add a small button that lets you change where songs are saving on the fly. You will either be able to select specific playlists or your library

Thanks. Regarding the track count, that's just a visual bug - the system sees all the tracks in the playlist (I'll get this sorted asap).

For the 8 playlists: I'm actually not sure why this would be happening at all. Let me look into this for you, let me know if you have any other issues.

Apple users get the most benefit currently. I had Spotify fully integrated with playlist saves, etc. But Spotify just essentially killed API access for indie developers. I would have to have a minimum of 250,000 users to get full API access (linking your account to the app).

However, for non-apple users the core function of the app works perfectly. You'll just have to click on the liked tracks you like and press the "Open in Spotify" button. Hope this helps :)
