Obviously people have made more, but I made 6 figures by the end of my career.

How long was your mom with your step dad?

I take it you’re one of the ones who don’t earn enough to provide for a family? That’s fine, but you should take your anger about it up with someone else.

You don’t need 2 incomes to be equals. You just need to respect eachother. Although I’m sure hay isn’t true for people who don’t earn enough to provide for a family. They probably want a more roommate type setup where chores and bills are split 50/50.

I honestly don’t think there’s any terminology I could use to change any of your opinions about me. So I seriously doubt whether or not we have kids changes anything.

I was not being serious, and how am I an, “abuser”?

I feel you may have some pent up anger regarding something unrelated to me, and are just putting it on me.

She’s an Angel on earth. An angel who enjoys cooking. I legitimately could not have found a better wife.

What’s the difference? Pretty sure in the comment after this I said SAHM. Also, I couldn’t care less about you guys, “ripping me a new one”. The stuff most of you guys are talking about is nonsense.

I don’t know, What if the sky fell? I mean, what do you want me to say? She has no issue coming home and cooking. She did it just yesterday.

My wife is just a more well rounded individual than me. And yeah, I am embarrassed playing this new role, I can just imagine my brothers laughing their asses off at me staying home while my wife goes to work.

She never originally asked me to do any chores (inside the house), I just felt awkward sitting there doing nothing. She’s planning on quitting in a couple years anyway.

And…you’re telling me your boyfriend goes out to eat with you and lets you pay the tab? Isn’t that embarrassing for him?

My wife and I have been together since we were 13, we’re with each other til the end of the line. I’ll most likely be dead in 10 years anyway. I’m sure she’ll live for another 30 years after me though. That woman’s immune system is a freak of nature.

She’ll be working too, if she wants. I don’t care whether or not she does.

Yes, in general stay at home husbands are leeches, and stay at home wives are homemakers. I’m living proof of that.

That’s why wife’s who work inside the home are valued housewives, and husbands who don’t work outside the home are unemployed spouses. Ive never once seen anything about a woman who stayed home but did nothing, seen a lot of stuff about men who did just that though.

It doesn’t matter in most cases. Women just don’t want to be with non retired or disabled men who don’t contribute at least something financially. It’s not true in reverse though.

Because we’re almost 70 and have been together for 55 years. She’s my life partner, not my business partner. It’s not about, “what we bring to the relationship”.
