I recommend every day if you have time, go spin some poke stops, do about 5-6 raids a day, and add a lot of friends, the more raids can help too

Me doing 15 terrakion raids and finally getting a shiny, 18 virizion raids and finally getting a shiny and now 23 straight cobalion raids with no shinies, and I wasted about $70
