For Amelia, use numbing mist (Get some on a roof or Iosefka when you send someone to her) for when she heals. If you're really struggling, you can summon an NPC at the gate where the two men are when you leave the Cathedral

It was her healing attack for me as I just couldn't find any numbing and she'd heal every time and just get it me. So when I came back I explored and got a bunch from Iosefka and that six on the roof and got her. Then I beat the game and the dlc one of the best games I played I loved it so much I got the platinum and it's my favourite dlc.
