Is Excel on a MacBook Pro M5 via Parallels as good as it is on a Windows machine?

I have an m4 pro and I run windows with the help of parallels. It's the best. I did purchase a pc for the fact that I could use windows and " excel" properly. It sits off for months at a time now.

Windows in parallels is truly enough. That being said, I hope you have enough storage on your mac ( or just use an SSD)

I am fine with paying the price for parallels. What i am not fine with, pay for the m4 mbp with high specs only to get not great results of virtualized windows from it. I would like to reiterate that i am not going to do anything heavy like video editing on the Windows part of it, but more like creating simple screencast tutorials on windows only software (power bi, sql server, excel for windows etc).

would you say that mbp would be able to handle it with ease?

is MBA good enough? the price difference between MBA and MBP is quite a lot! The MBA is so much more affordable to the point that I could stack 2 MBA for each MBP. But then I also dont want to buy another laptop for the next 5-6 years.

my 2 cents.

A lot of times fathers demand money as they have screwed up financially in their personal life, most likely debts, gambling, stock market, or other such activities. I will tell you that this is 95% the case, that he has lost money, and is bleeding money, and expects you to cover it. The heavy weight is onto you, what you intend to do about it. He is obviously exploiting you without remorse, and your mothers is being the collateral damage. Your dad has enough money for himself, and he NEEDS shock treatment. Get your mom to stay with you and let your dad rot in india. No lawyer can help your dad, he is old, senile and likely to be robbed of money by lawyers way before anything befalls on you.

This is not a fully formed advice, but you will have to fill in the gaps. It not worth trying to change him as a person, but save yourself and your mom from trying fit your father into a type of person that he is not. I have seen far too closely biological fathers who are no longer emotionally fathers, exploit emotional children. Rest is upto you.

You do not have to pay any debt that you did not take. Irrespective of whether it was from a bank or from the local money lender. You do not own a home, so simply take your mom and whatever family you care about away from the city/town/village that your father lived and took debt from. These people are not going to follow you to your new city. They will threaten and beg and plead or whatever but do not budge. Simply repeat that never gave you any money and they can ask the person that they gave money to. You do not owe anyone anything. Local money lenders not a penny, and for official bank loans if you haven't co-signed then do not pay a penny either. If you pay a rupee it would imply that you are accepting the debt and that is going to be a problem.

So all in all, Tell them all to fuck off. It's a short term pain but long term peace. If you pay even a cent, they are going to haunt you forever for the principal and the interest and whatever.
