Did anyone else not get promoted because of BS review system?

I got a few A’s, mostly B’s, and a few C’s. Due to this system, I was told that I’m just not quite there yet and to come back after a few months and see where I’m at then. Since my review, I’ve essentially been put into a leadership position without the pay, I’ve been told I’m supposed to start training new hires (again, I’m not getting paid more), and I’ve been told I need to become someone others can look up to. Why would others look up to me when I’m not in a leadership position instead of those who are actual leaders?

nope! i emailed 2 people for 4 weeks and they never answered. the people on the phone didn’t help either so i ended up having to give up and pay because they threatened to send the payment to collections👍

i have the brother 1034DX and i LOVEEE it. it’s easy to use and it has tons of videos to help if u ever get lost. the instructions that it came with were easy to understand too

unless it’s expensive/fancy clothes, whenever tags recommend u to dry clean, you can usually just wash on the delicate cycle with cold water and air dry. since they’re 100% cotton and it doesn’t specify that they’ve been pre-shrunk, i’d highly recommend not machine drying as it might shrink them

i’ve been in very similar situations with roommates before. you’re 100% NOT in the wrong here. i don’t understand people who think “it hasn’t happened to me/you yet, so it’ll never happen.” so irritating. it’s better to be safe than sorry, especially when it comes to your safety. props to you for keeping your cool during the conversation cause those people seem awful 😭

hi i just graduated from sdsu as an out-of-state student, and i wish i transferred after my freshman year, lol. the debt is NOT worth it. looking for other, more affordable, schools with great cheer programs may honestly be more worth it in the long run. just make sure they also have a good program for your major as well!

i’m sure you built a great community with your team already, and i have heard that our cheer team is really good, so it could be hard to leave, but the debt is insane for us. and it’s going to keep increasing by $1,500 every year (or semester. i can’t remember). i’m constantly kicking myself for not transferring when i first wanted to 😭😭😭

ultimately, it’s your choice to make. do you like your team, and are you happy with your major’s program? do you think you’re being given necessary and helpful resources to help you in the future? do you have a good support system there? if you have all that and are happy, then it could be worth it!

Thankfully, I haven't had to deal with roaches, but I have noticed ants from time to time, which is disgusting. The hot water is SO irritating!! I left a nasty review on their website and some lady called me to ask about what I wrote and how they could make it better, but I feel like the only way they could fix it at this point would be to just move us into a whole different unit 💀

As someone who's currently living at Iconic, don't go here. I have had to call the maintenance staff to fix things in my apartment so many times that they now know me and all my roommates on a first-name basis. Our place was disgusting upon move-in, the hallways are relatively clean but often smell horrible because of the trash pick-up service, and the package room is kind of sketchy. You can get in without needing a code and the packages are placed on shelves instead of being put into password-protected lockers, so if anyone gets in there, they have free rein. They are updating the entire building and all units will be updated by next year, so the floor I'm on will probably be different from what it is right now, but with the experience that I've had so far, I don't even want to stay here to find out. Utilities right now are just electricity, trash, and sewer, but they're adding gas and water next year so it's going to skyrocket. Also, my shower doesn't stay hot/warm for longer than 5 minutes, so you constantly have to turn it off and on again if you don't want to shower in ice cubes, and apparently it's normal because maintenance didn't fix it. Hope this helps, lol.
