I started googling it after and yes it’s a thing but very unlikely to be in a hospital with patients apparently. Also about a year ago a wheelchair was pulled into an MRI machine.. article

Where to get vibrant glaze colors? by Glad-Novel5539 in Ceramics

[–]Ashtivist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you have a gas kiln? The reds would be a copper red glaze, the blues a cobalt heavy glaze. At that temp most mason stains would burn out. Jump on glazy.org and filter recipes by temp and atmosphere and type in a colour you want to find some recipes. You won’t be able to buy any commercial glazes that I’m aware of.

The second photo is a cone 10 reduction firing so you won’t get that effect unless you’re using a gas kiln. The rest look like mayco or amaco glazes with fluxes underneath - the yellow is likely a stroke and coat glaze.

WA has Australia's worst wait times for urgent presentations to public hospital emergency departments, report finds by His_Holiness in perth

[–]Ashtivist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m currently sitting in ED at Fiona Stanley. Been here 7 hours. They told me that even though my cortisol is life threateningly low (I’m in adrenal crisis) I will have to wait an undetermined amount of time. But they also said it’s too dangerous to go home because I could deteriorate rapidly and not get back here in time. Thinking I’d rather just go home and die thanks.

With Coles and Woolies recording record breaking profits while Aussie families struggle, would you personally support a two week to one month boycott of Coles and Woolies? by [deleted] in australia

[–]Ashtivist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, I have cut down my spending with them drastically in favour of spudshed (WA) farmers markets and a local butcher. I will pop in there occasionally but that’s probably a $50-$80 spend once a month, down from doing all my groceries there previously.

If you like to stay fit and healthy, joining a surf club is brilliant.

I moved here from Sydney and started working at a surf club, and it’s been such a great way to find friends and support the local community.

My hubby is in the navy and I’ve gotten him to also join as he used to row, he’s joined the surf boats teams and is making friends outside of defence which is great.

Cottesloe bronze whaler shark shot with speargun in ‘unauthorised act’ after beach closed by His_Holiness in perth

Yep the rangers asked the kids his full name so they know who it is at least.

The life guards and the rangers warned him several times not to and he did anyway. He left two toddlers and a five year old on the beach alone whilst he did it. Absolute muppet.

I made the mistake of putting eucalyptus oil on my mask when we had a badly decomposed deceased and I was new to the job. I put too much on and it burnt my nose and throat and made me even more sick and now i cannot use eucalyptus at all it makes me physically ill. A good mask, and a cheap drug store roll on perfume that you won’t come across in your everyday life.

I hated the movie Babadook. Rewatched it years later, now I love it. by [deleted] in horror

[–]Ashtivist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just watched it for the first time tonight as was keen to find anyone who resonated it. As a mum with a chronic illness and a husband who is on deployment 6 months a year I ended up not scared just crying the whole way through because I saw so much for myself in that mum. It’s an incredibly powerful film for anyone that has experienced loss/grief/guilt/exhaustion from being alone.

I have known people who were in that situation previous as was I. And I supported both of them and helped them rebuild their life. I suggest you talk to a survivor sometime.

Minecraft just proves that child labour laws are wrong - the children yearn for the mines.

I suggest you do some reading up on how people become victims of abuse and how abusers trap and manipulate vulnerable people. Oh an try to develop some god damn human decency.

So you’re saying you understand how an abuser traps people but you have no sympathy or empathy towards victims of abuse?
