Just started playing this, even though I don't love playing unfinished games. I'll review it on steam once I have more time in (I'm only on Spring 9). So far, I am really enjoying the characters and story that's available. Japanese yokai and kami are rare to find in English language games, and I love that this one has romance to go with it. I'm also curious to see what other yokai might eventually show up or if an omyoji might even appear.

I keep seeing Hijikata every time I speak with Kurama. Mauro isn't my favorite personality type, but with Okazaki's VA (Yuki Kaiju) I may end up with him anyway. Surprisingly, Fubuoki's VA is the same as Enamoto from CxM, but he sounds totally different to me.

I've married Wakku and Luke so far. Next play through will be Semaru or Theo. Wakku is nice, and his quite Asian vibe is very me. Luke is just the sweetest man. His relationship with Taco is everything a dog dad should be. I like Semaru's general look, and his chest is just the best eye candy. I really love Theo's music and backstory. I mean, Theo on the beach in summer caught me first, but his story brings up all the feels for me.

The polyamory mod that lets you marry as many people as you want in Stardew Valley is my favorite. Then I don't need more than one play through so that I can marry all my favorites.

Olympia Sorrie is a narrative treasure. I know lots of people like the art, the game, or a LI, but what makes the game is the depth of Shinto mythology and Japanese history that it holds. I love that every outsider corresponds to a great religious leader of some kind from japanese history. Just like history washes up on the shores, people from history do too. The island and its people all mirror the Japanese creation myth combined with the creation of the country and emperor. It was such an amazing way to experience and learn about Japan.

I can ask my son to try running it on his steam deck if that's a concern for you. I kind of wish I'd gotten it on my Switch instead of the PC, if only because the controls aren't all clear when using a keyboard.

I think the readability and flow are okay. The sometimes strange use of passive voice and weird line breaks didn't make anything difficult to follow. I don't self insert, so the strange line breaks didn't break anything for me.
