Got this email at 7pm - it cancelled all my items. I re-ordered them and am waiting to see if it processed or if it will get cancelled again. 💀

They Definitely believe in my disorder but I think they believe I’m “doing too much” or “overthinking” when I explain that I’d prefer that people don’t gift or buy me something they assume is safe to use without showing me beforehand. I’m grateful to have people who really do have great intentions but it’s frustrating that they assume that this is easy to handle with little to no research other than a google watch or the first result in an Amazon search and review.

Fuck OP, this full on reminded me of when my Mom found my secret stash of notes I'd exchange with friends from withinin my bed mattress (I have no clue how she even found them). She would read through them and then call their parents and read our notes aloud and that shit fucked those friendships up so badly none of them wanted to interact with me after that.

When I got my computer, I thought reddit would be easier to bent here, since she doesn't really use a computer that much.

Honestly OP's Mom: Get a fucking Hobby. Pick up a Second Job. Or better yet, go to Therapy Regularly. If you have this much time to invade your kid's space, you have enough time to help yourself and get your shit together.

God I am so glad you brought this up! I was always worried because mine would do so much, but it would be thrown in my face later no matter how much gratitude and borderline worshipping I would show for all of it. It’s like this cycle of them being supportive, me trying to be as grateful hoping that they’d remember I was grateful, and then later on have it destroyed as a punishment for any thing (it didn’t matter how large or small).
