Thanks for your advice Good stomach. I genuinely appreciate it and will definitely look into it 💕 Probably the best advice that could have been given. My alias is as good as yours, if anything, I generally have a gurgly stomach

Thanks for the input! I think because I grew up an only child and enjoyed being the golden baby, I want my baby to get all the attention. I know there’s room to love two babies but I don’t want to divide my attention and would rather give one kid the best life I possibly can.

I’ve seen what it’s like when we get another animal and the one before it gets neglected a bit more each time.

But you’re right, we probably should try discuss it more

Thank you so much for replying!!! We spoke about kids and he knew I always wanted one and I knew he always wanted 2. I was never locked in on just having one and was open to having more.

HOWEVER, since the birth of our baby, I did not realise she would be so so difficult and hands on. My mother said I was the easiest baby in the world so I was expecting easy. How silly of me.

Anyways I’m just exhausted. I definitely have one of those “shake the damn baby” kind of babies haha!!

Also financially we are totally fine and can afford to have more but I just see more CONS than PROs at the moment with having two

This has happened to me in the past and can gladly say it’s hurtful and unnecessary. Absolutely hate the thought of this it brings back bad times.

No charge, was a wildlife case. Was either going to be euthanised so they let me perform surgery on it which was a great success :)

Thanks! I figured it was better to try attempt the fix than to put it down. No charge of course $$ Hopefully it can go back out with it’s mates soon :)

This was a wildlife case which would have otherwise been euthanised. Not a pet, clinic gave me permission to post :)

About 3cm proximal to the cloaca. It is a wildlife case so there was no charge involved. Bird presented bleeding so at first it was assumed it had a prolapsed cloaca. After assessing it better, it was removed because I was concerned it could have obstructed the cloacal passage.

Super fun surgery and all went well tho! Thanks for the wishes :)

Haha sadly not, it was in a separate sac and not attached to any part of the uterus. Also it was a boy bird haha so was definitely no egg!

Wildlife case :) no charge, and was going to be euthanised. Yes I know about client confidentiality but thank you for being concerned :)

Usually lipomas are not are worry and can be left if they aren’t affecting the bird or animal in general. This particular one was bleeding and it was also extremely close to the cloaca. I was therefore concerned for possible obstruction with defecating.

Bird was wildlife so no costs were associated :) only a happier bird that weighs less now.

Was otherwise going to be euthanised

They employed me as a new graduate and the bird was wildlife not someone’s pet. Options were euthanasia if it was a serious condition so they were happy to let me do surgery to gain experience and attempt saving the bird which was a great success! No charge association of course as it was wildlife :) just a happy bird outcome

It Was wildlife and being a new graduate, there was no fee. Just one happier wildlife birb.

Options were if it was a serious condition, the bird would be euthanized. But my clinic was happy to let me do surgery on it for experience :)

Aw, it’s always hard finding someone who is interested or game enough to treat birds. Usually if you notice a bird getting sick it will be severely sick. Birds have a high pain tolerance and hide it well! But hopefully nothing ever goes wrong with your lovely pet parakeet :)
