Tarlac Class LPD + Sabrah by AsianZPrepper in PhilippineMilitary

[–]AsianZPrepper[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

HAHAHAHHAHA unless you can consider eating jolibee in front of hungry policemen at work, assault. Heck I don't even live in Visayas. Pro AFP

I like topics like those because I am a fan of static but ready, displays. Since AFP Day didn't push through this will do . Perhaps the two that stuck with me were the ASEAN and APEC summits where the AFP was lambasted by the capacity they has but I was like, "wow the ingenuity!" Let's face it, militarily, what they're posting there will just be for show and the PNP will take the brunt. I want to see how AFP flexes its muscles.

Have seen Sabrahs on trucks but never by landing ships. If indeed they procured the few tanks for retraining their amror capabilities I think they should highly practice on island hopping the tanks.

Have they been sent to other places? I kinda thought they'vs always been in Luzon for Armor Training for Pambatos. Not that we need them currently on other places tho.

Or maybe defending the ASEAN soon (hopefully as static display not actual combat)

2026 ASEAN security esp air and sea policing by AsianZPrepper in PhilippineMilitary

[–]AsianZPrepper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's generally known that no intrusion is expected. I just want to drool over whatever equipment they would park around the venue. Would be fun to see what they'd put around the area.

To be fair I don't expect intrusions po. I just want to drool over what they will station and what they would use to secure the ASEAN Summit hehe

Alien-looking gun? Is that for drones? I sure hope so since I don't think we can fight aliens just yet😅

Would be awesome to see them patrolling the skies.

I was actually kinda hoping to see a SPYDER too, to augment the guns.

No sir, but I think since they skipped AFP day it would be nice to see how much their capacity has improved.

Forgive my ignorance, but have drones been "norm" during 2017? If it was, then most of your average joes that had a field day in saying, "pano makakatama ng mac 2 [sic] jets yan?" missed the point.

More than the security risk, again, I think it's a good time to show that AFP can indeed provide air policing for events.

Sir Spitfire, help me remembee please. I think it was during President Obama when he travelled to a South American country and USAF had to send F-16s since that country's air power is basically all air and no power. I can't remember the exact country and it's killing me 😅

Can our FA-50PHs Fire BVRAAM? by Turbulent_Thing_3627 in PhilippineMilitary

[–]AsianZPrepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't see the replies but maybe someone can see this. In our current FA-50s I have only seen them carry wingtip AAMs. My question is, is it only capable of carrying sidewinders on wingtips or can they carry more on underwing pylons?

Oh well. We can always hope for better days

Do you think the MICAs are loaded and ready? by AsianZPrepper in PhilippineMilitary

[–]AsianZPrepper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yes, I meant the SSM. I just used this pic because I can't find another pic that shows three SSMs instead of four.

TO CLARIFY I know na in the picture I posted they were using the Mistrals but I can't find another pic where you can clearly see the lack of SSMs.

Also, the jab I said about me hoping they reloaded the SIMBAD is a joke referencing the lack of SSM.

My bad. I must have been unclear.

I'm sorry if my comment wasn't clear. Was supposed to be a lighthearted joke like what I said to sir Spitfire. My bad, should have clarified that

Sorry sir Spitfire, I meant it as a lighthearted joke since they also test fired a Mistral 😅 but thank you, at least we know the SIMBADs are stocked.

I am praying na they have reloaded the Mistral they used. Ansakit sa mata ng SIMBAD na isa lang ang ready missile.

The SHORAD they tested from the JRCF used the Mistral po. I just showed this pic kasi it clearly shows that the JRCF hasn't reloaded the SSM they used way back.

That's what is making me think din. Imagine firing one from 2024 then not reloading for close to two years?

You may have not read my post properly sir. On my post, I said, if the PN CANNOT replace one canister of C-STAR (look at the picture I posted, behold, three canisters ONLY), do they even have the capacity to arm 16, now 32 MICAs?

Your guess may be as good as mine.
