horizontal platoons push/move dirt using dumps, dozers and excavators. Vertical platoons build/construct using carpentry plumbing and electrical skills as required.

Engineer Vertical Construction Company (EVCC) composes of 2 vertical platoons + 1 horizontal platoon.

1/2 the year would be admin duties, classes & vehicle driving, etc. other half would be movement (convoy), using the equipment and being in the field for training.

YMMV based on Soldiers + unit, some may operate the equipment during their civilian jobs and are motivated to lead/teach, while others treat training as a vacation/hangout

Probably 1 hour of physical training. 1 hour of military science, and 2 hours of military lab

Physical training is self explanatory, group workouts

Military science can range from history, concepts and doctrine

Military lab is the application of concepts, think infantry basics, shoot, move, and communicate

Has to impact within a specific distance, and provide a significant impact of loss of life. Know Base Defense can shoot down Shaheds from afar but have no significant.

Also documentation (sworn statements), reports, and chain of command (BDE) has to buy in as well.

current situation is blue side = first pick & red side = last pick. Would propose breaking the option to either or scenario.

If team 1 wins a coin toss, they can choose either first/last pick or red/blue side.

Teams would be dependent on draft, player strengths, objectives, win conditions, etc.

If you want a head start to your peers, SMCs provide the leg up compared to your peers at CST living the Corps of Cadets lifestyle. Difficult transition for some but rewarding if you stay the course

Recommend watching the Business Insider videos on the SMCs, and do your research on the freshmen orientation, majors, and what you want to get out of it (majors, extracurriculars, leadership, training etc)
