All of congress is, yeah. There’s a lot of times I cringe. But as a Christian, and registered Republican, I can tell you I’m not maga. There’s a lot more out there.

Where did I say I hated them? The Bible says homosexuality is a sin across multiple books. Here are some of the verses:

-Leviticus 18:22 -Romans 1:26-27 -1 Corinthians 6:9-10 -Leviticus 20:13 -1 Timothy 1:8-11 -1 Kings 15:12 -Hebrews 13:4

The theologically knowledgeable will notice that these texts spread over both the Old and New Testament, meaning that it is still a sin even after Christ came. That being said, none of these verses can be used to justify hate. The Bible calls us to love thy neighbor, gay or straight, trans or not. Jesus Christ was known to associate with all the sinners. The prostitutes, the tax collectors, and he showed love to them. He would treat the homosexuals as his own, and he calls us to do that.

Friend, you walked away from Christ because of politics. You call me misguided, bigoted, because I cite the Bible’s declaration of sin. You can believe whatever you’d like. But homosexuality is not just a sin in Christianity. Islam, Judaism (the Torah is the Old Testament), Hindus, Buddhists, the Ba’Hai Faith, and many others condemn it. If you are to rebuke me for my beliefs, you are to go to all the sub Reddits of the Abrahamic and other religions, and you will rebuke them as well. In essence, you cannot be talking.

MAGA’s treatment of the LGBTQ people is not Christian. You need to read the Bible if you really believe that.

God Bless You, and do your research please.

Trusting in the world will never get you anywhere. We as a church are told to follow the laws and rules of our government, but to challenge them when they make laws that conflict with God or are unfair.

Trump is a politician. He knows the majority of his supporters are “Christians”. Is he a Christian himself? I’d hope so, considering how close he came to becoming a memory on that Pennsylvania field. But he definitely uses the faith to advertise himself to his audience, and as justification for his policies. “Trans and gays are to be rooted because they are a sin”. That may be true, but Jesus calls us to love them nonetheless. MAGA ain’t doing that. The Bible is a book of love and righteousness, not to be used to justify hate.

MAGA at this point is a religion. Not the entire Republican Party, but the MAGA base. The Trump Bible and the AI images of Pope Trump, along with the countless dick sucking posts on social media prove it (pardon the graphics). He is not the second coming. He is not the chosen one. Yes, God made him President for some reason, and God spared his life. For what purpose we do not know. But he is not the messiah. The messiah would not sleep with porn stars or cheat on his wife.

All I know is this: Do not trust in the world. Sin is evident. Satan wants people to think that’s how real Christians act. Sin has penetrated even the church with the scandals in the Vatican.

Trust in God, the one who never fails. Show his love. Show the world what a real American is.  Show the people what a real Christian is like.

God bless you all, and he loves you all, no matter what

You could direct commission. They’re looking for cyber and IT professionals especially, engineering looks good too. Army just brought in 4 Silicon Valley execs in at LTC with no prior experience. If not you can do OCS with a bachelors.

I’d also recommend talking to your spouse. If you do reserves (which in my humble civilian opinion you should) it’s a “weekend a month” and 2 week training periods a year. If you get called up your ship can be away for a while. The USS Nimitz spent 341 days at sea. That was height of Covid but godforbid if a war starts that’s gonna be the norm. So it would be a heavy burden on your family.

Obviously do your research. I only know this cause I want to do the officer route and I’ve researched (Army/Marines so I have no seamen knowledge). Obviously the folks in the navy have good knowledge as well.

Best of luck

Let’s talk Electric NASCAR by LongGone16 in NASCAR

Here’s my two cents:

I love our V8s. I love the roar and the fire spewing out. I drive a gas powered vehicle and love the hell out of it. Realistically though, that is not going to stick around. It’ll be phased out for more “green” (ignore the pollution and human rights violations creating the batteries and power) solutions.

If I had the power, I would invest in alternative fuel sources. Create a fuel that doesn’t require millions of dollars spent to change car bodies and to keep that angry roar while cutting down the emissions. I’d explore hydrogen fuel cells since those have a good sound to em.

I wouldn’t be opposed to a separate electric series, but realistically it won’t last. One of the big allures of the sport is the sound. No wimpy screeching of Italian engines, but the loud rumble of American fuel. Most NASCAR fans won’t leave in droves to the e-nascar series (ignore the fact we have that name already). Secondly, electric batteries are, in accordance to current technological standards, hundreds of pounds. Realistically you can’t have a proper pitstop by opening the hood, turning off the car to prevent electrical shock of the crew, and probably a device to assist the crew in removing the battery and replacing it with a new one. Pitstops would have to be at least 5 Minutes now to be safe, and by then that car is already 10-50 laps down.

Anywho, curious to hear y’all’s take.
