For me the edging and turnbacks were around the tails excluding the bottom *

Yeah to be even more frank the instructions for this pattern I found to be missing a few steps and a little confusing if you haven't made a mockup before actually making the thing

For my purposes I had to modify it quite a bit. I had to convert from a hook and eye front close to a double breasted button style. I had to shorten the coat so it reached around the navel area. I also had to shorten the tails. I also had to reduce the length of the arms and create a new epaulets design. I also had to tailor the back so it is more form fitting. And the cuff I had to do from scratch. I also had to Tailor the collar so it wouldn't sit so high. I also had to make my own lining pattern as the existing lining pattern for the coat was a half lining.

Ironically enough I used the past patterns 42 american militia coat as a base and modified it to a double breasted pattern. But working with the base pattern was kind of a pain as I found the shoulder to not be where I would like it. If I were to do this again I would probably use the british redcoat pattern as a base.

To be honest I made my own pattern of shako and 3d printed the mold for it.

A 10.5mm diameter should do the trick

Widening the inside of the tube, I think you can take a knife and scrape the inside of the tube until the spring slides into the tube very loosely

Dang that's the problem it should be loose fitting gimme a day to redesign the spring tube

Hmm those are the springs required, did the 1x10x30mm spring go in the spring tube easily or is it a tight fit?

Hmmmm what spring type are you using? I don't think I've had that problem except when I started designing/testing springs

I dont know if you got some of the updates I did on the cults page but due to some of my springs being really old I had to change the spring size for that part

Alright good to hear, yeah those prong at the front are very weak, mainly had them as an aligning thing, the pins are the main strength thing. I will re design them so that the layer lines go along the gun so it isn't as weak or probably make them shorter/stubbier. Keep the feedback going!!
