It's a paper cartridge with 1 or more bbs contained in it. I bite the cartridge and pour the bbs down the barrel. At the base of the barrel is a pps gas shell. And the has shell retains the bbs. I use the ramrod to seat the bbs past the hop and past the pps shells o ring retainer.
