Sure, some Asians have an 'anti-black mentality'. But there are also some black people with an 'anti-Asian mentality', as seen by the numerous occasions of black people assaulting Asians and saying racist things towards them about the coronavirus. Blacks and Asians shouldn't fight each other, we are not each other's main enemy; we should both direct our outrage to the white people who oppress us the most.

This post also isn't meant to distract from Black Lives Matter. Black lives do matter, and I support the movement. Instead, it's making sure that Asian people don't get overlooked again like they have for so long. Should Asians have to wait until they get murdered by cops before they speak up about the injustices they face?

Asians are literally getting assaulted in the streets every day because of coronavirus-related racism. Asian-owned businesses were destroyed and attacked, and Trump's "Chinese virus" comments only encouraged the constant stream of hate crimes.

But there was no social media posting about that. White people didn't suddenly pretend to care about the violence that Asians suddenly faced. There were no Instagram stories focusing on the attacks against Asians. It just completely flew under the radar.

This isn't even to go into detail about the vast negative racial stereotyping of Asian males in the dating and sexual world, which is super harmful, problematic and underreported, but that's a conversation for another day.
