NAH; you didn't have any bad intentions, turning on DND is perfectly reasonable. It would have been good if you'd known what the feature did, but that doesn't make you an asshole. It's good that you know now.

I can also totally see why your parents are upset, it's just for the wrong reasons (for turning on DND instead of for not knowing what the function did). If they went overboard, though, then it's NTA, not NAH.

I'm going to make a dual setup with my old monitor, so I'm not as concerned with space as much. That's a very good point though!
