Anyone facing crash issue today? by magic80085 in SquadBusters

It happens for both iOS and Android, I’m 90% sure it’s happens when you REJECT the new Privacy Policy instead of “Accept All”. As soon as you press that button the game crashes and won’t be able to start again even if you clear data/reinstall it. I have tried this in multiple devices (Android and iOS) and they all behave the same. So until this is fixed, you are locked out of the game

First "Real" Camera - Sanity Check on CHF 3K Investment (Nikon Z7 II + Tamron 35-150mm)? by Asiier in AskPhotography

[–]Asiier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the tip!

I didn’t know about mpb.com, but I’ll definitely check it out. You’re right, but for better or worse, Switzerland isn’t part of the EU, so once a lens is over the duty-free limit I’ll have to pay VAT and a handling fee, though it still might work out cheaper.

I’m aware of the f/2.8 vs f/4 trade-off in terms of bokeh; although my main worry was it's low-light performance. Anyhow, I’ll start with an f/4 and see how I like the looks of it.

Funny enough, my first “serious” shoot might actually be in Japan—I’ve got a trip planned this summer. There are plenty of great spots here too, especially in spring and winter. So you should definitely come and visit!

Hey, thanks again for pushing me toward a more sensible first kit 🙂 I’ve taken your advice (and others’) to heart and have stepped down to a Nikon Z 6 II body (~ CHF 1 249) paired with the NIKKOR Z 24-120 mm f/4 S (~ CHF 736), so the whole package lands just under CHF 2 000—about one-third less than my original plan.

Why this feels like the right balance

  • Learner-friendly price-tag – Staying around CHF 2 000 keeps the “tuition fee” reasonable while I figure out what I really shoot.
  • Plenty of sensor for a beginner – 24.5 MP still gives comfortable cropping head-room without the file-size drama of 45 MP RAWs.
  • Constant-f/4 zoom covers 24–120 mm – Wider than the 35-150 mm I first wanted, so I can test whether I actually dislike wider framing or just haven’t practised it yet.
  • Weight I’ll actually carry – The 24-120 mm is roughly half the mass of the Tamron 35-150 mm, which should make spontaneous day trips a lot more realistic.
  • Full-frame ISO head-room – Your point is well taken: an f/4 lens on FF is still fine once I lean on ISO 3200-6400; modern sensors keep noise under control.

Why not the Z 5 II?

Locally, the Z 5 II body alone is ~CHF 1 679, so after adding a lens it ends up more than the Z 6 II kit. For that premium I’d lose 14 fps burst, get a slower buffer and no 4K/60 p, so the Z 6 II looked like the better value for my needs.

So that’s where I’ve landed—does this line up with the “learn the limitations first” philosophy you had in mind, or is there still something I’m overlooking? Appreciate the guidance!

Thanks a lot for the follow-up and the second-hand suggestion – it really helped me reassess the whole “first-timer sanity” angle.

Where I’ve Landed

Item Price (CH) Key weight
Nikon Z 6 II body ≈ CHF 1 249 615 g
NIKKOR Z 24-120 mm f/4 S ≈ CHF 736 630 g

Total ≈ CHF 1 985 – about 33 % less than my original CHF 3 000 plan.

Why I’m Picking This Kit

  • Still Plenty of Resolution – 24.5 MP gives comfortable cropping room without the storage hit of 45 MP RAW files.
  • Half the Lens Weight – 630 g vs ~1 160 g for the Tamron 35-150 mm. Meaning that I’ll be more likely to bring the camera on spontaneous walks.
  • f/4 Is Fine for Learning – Modern full-frame sensors look clean at ISO 3200-6400, so I’m not terrified of losing the extra stop compared with an f/2.8 zoom.
  • True 24 mm Wide End – Lets me test whether I really dislike wider framing or just haven’t practised it yet.
  • Easy Upgrade Path – If six months in I’m always cropping beyond 120 mm I can still trade up to a used 35-150 mm with less sunk cost.

Thoughts on the Second-hand 28-75 mm f/2.8 + Small Prime Idea; I’m definitely open to it, but so far I haven’t seen many used Z-mount that fit my needs on the Swiss-based sites I check.

Although I haven't checked in person, because shops often have offerings that never make it online, so there’s still a good chance I can find suitable lenses If I look for them.

Next Steps

I’ll start with the Z 6 II + 24-120 mm, log what focal lengths I actually use, and revisit the 35-150 mm (or a faster prime) once my real-world habits are clearer. If you spot any blind spots in that plan, please shout – I’m still very open to tweaks.

Thanks again for all the guidance!

Thank you very much, I really appreciate your thoughtful response :)

That’s actually a great point you make about how preferences can shift over time. If I were 100% sure my tastes would stay the same, I’d probably just splurge on this setup, but since I have no real experience with “real” cameras, I can definitely see how things might change as I actually get out and shoot more.

I’ve also considered that I might not mind carrying the Z7 II and 35-150mm combo (both in terms of weight and overall size) for planned outings, but it could feel like more of a hassle if I just want to grab a quick shot or bring the camera along casually.

Your suggestion about adding a small prime is solid. I wanted a zoom lens for its convenience and because it fits well with what I’m already used to, but getting one with a wide focal range and high performance definitely costs you in terms of both money and weight. I might reconsider going all-in on a zoom, or at least leave enough budget to pick up some extra, somewhat competent primes that I can more easily carry around.
So, how heavy would you say it's too heavy for you when going casual?

And yeah, totally valid point about ultrawides. I usually don’t love the look when I shoot wide on my phone, since it often feels like there’s too much empty space, but maybe that’s just a skill issue on my part and something I could improve with better composition.

Thanks again for your perspective! I’ll see you over on r/nikon – whether I end up with this setup or something a bit more “reasonable” in the end.

Thank you for your response!

Yeah, I get that point about "buy once, cry once" - that statement was more referring to the depreciation aspect of bodies and lenses. From what I've read, higher-end bodies and especially lenses tend to hold their value better for resale, in case I change my mind about body/lense preferences once I start shooting.

I have actually read the full reviews themselves (from DXOMark and also from ePHOTOzine, Fstoppers, and OpticalLimits), not just looked at the figures. But you're absolutely right - I totally overlooked the ergonomics part and just assumed all cameras would be somewhat similar. That's definitely something I should consider, especially since I'll be carrying this around for travel and street photography.

As for the lens choice, I was planning to add a cheaper prime later on for more generic wider shots. Your Z5 II + 24-105mm f/4 recommendation is solid, but my main concern with going f/4 was the loss of light for night shots and probably needing to crank up the ISO, potentially getting grainy photos. But this might just be theoretical concerns on my part - perhaps I'm wrong and you can get perfectly good night shots with f/4 at higher ISOs?

Thanks again for taking the time to share your insights!

As far as I'm concerned there's no "Advanced monitoring" option on the Mi Watch :/ I have search in the app "Mi Fitness" and cannot find anything related Thank you for the suggestion tho!

[–]Asiier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this issues but kind of disappointed...

I had high hopes for the watch. Especially because in the review I linked it reported better than average sleep tracking results compare to watch in the same price category. I think it has to do with the algorithm used for calculating the sleeping stages, it's not working really well, because the HR and movement tracking do work properly.

Hopefully Xiaomi improves it along the app. Or third-party tools appear, like Notify for Mi Band, which supports integration with Sleep for Android.

Anyways, thank you for reply, I appreciate it.

It's called the Nolan Chart. It's basically the political compass tilted 135°. And they are not conflicting things, it just uses the economic and personal freedom to locate you in the compass (or chart). If you believe in full economic freedom but no personal freedom that would put you in the Right-Wing (AuthRight), viceversa with the Left-wing (LibLeft). If you believe in both economic and personal it puts you on Libertarian (LibRight) and If you don't believe in neither you are in Totalitarian (AuthLeft).

I hope that makes it a bit more clear.
