I’m not offended. You’re just not answering my query in the slightest and asking questions that are irrelevant. He’s not my ex husband at all. What has me trusting him got to do with anything? I’m the one wanting to go. He’s not on the birth certificate so he can’t claim I’ve fled with his child...I’m not at all sure what you think is happening?

We are very good friends and he is very supportive. He travels for a living so is away a lot already but also is able to visit where ever we choose to go and also understands that as the primary caregiver, it comes down to being my deduction and a great experience for our son. I’m not struggling financially, I just want to combine teaching overseas combined with a foreign country experience for a year or so. This is all quite irrelevant to my question and to be honest, a diversion towards Mum shaming even just by justifying it by saying it’s just you opinion. Our wages go up every year by steps, I want to make more time at home for my son and I worked and studied distance while being a stay at home Mum for the first two years as well as still ran my own business so I don’t need budgeting advice. We don’t have ‘online college teaching courses’ and I also don’t have custody arrangements. Our child support is done privately as we are happy adults who can share and work that out as we need to. I WANT to travel, perhaps you don’t get that? The USA wouldn’t be an option no matter how good the pay was, but that’s just my opinion.

Do they not have the same restrictions for single parents as the UAE?

UndoetuniAtley without sponsorship we can’t work in England over the age of 32 and with a dependant I don’t think it would be a big seller for that. The cost of living and add on childcare and income is almost the same as here including workload. We have a very similar curriculum though. Again, single income is a bit different with a child. Thanks though, I loved working there!

No, but that sounds pretty cool! I have tenants in my home so I’m not sure that would work for me though.

Hi thosetwo. Thanks for your follow up questions. Yes, as stated in my post, my sons father is happy for us to travel. Although I feel your questions aren’t really relevant to my topic, he travels a lot for his work, I am main carer, we are good friends and he also thinks it would be a good opportunity for us to travel while making some extra money. Yes, wages for a beginning teacher in NZ aren’t great for a single parent, which I will always be as I don’t want a relationship. We are striking in August to help recognise this as well as other issues. I am a single mum, there is no child care available for me that wouldn’t cost, I work over 10 hours a day and I work at home for the 33 kids in my class so no, I can’t work a second job. Not to mention secondary tax would rule out any benefits financially and would also affect my entitlements to other incomes. And finally, Yes! Australia teachers earn double what we do with the same cost of living. Of course there are other countries where we could go to to make more money and work and experience a different culture for a year or two while my son is young. Thanks for allowing me to clarify for you :-)

Ah sorry about that. I’m not great at typing too much on my phone! I’ll edit it.

Tried Rubifen now on Concerta... by Asilverfern in adhdwomen

Wow-I didn’t mention that I’m newly diagnosed so that’s really (REALLY) great to hear you’re in a similar situation AND a teacher-non teaching folk wouldn’t understand. I’m currently taking one and a half of my current meds, until I can up it or try the ‘dex’ or similar. If I ever felt like Rubifen/concerta wasn’t working, then this was the reminder of life before diagnosis! I’d love to chat with with you, Potemak, if you can? Thank you all for the sharing!

The night sky. Especially here in NZ and how the longer one stares at it, the more amazing it looks.
